Chapter 4

Lauren's POV

"Lucas!" I hear Kenna yell right before Luke drops her in the water. The boys start laughing. Kenna swims up.
"I hate you" she said before she gets out and comes sit next to me.
"You would never hate him" I said to her handing her a towel. She smiles.
"No I love him a lot, just hate the water" she ask wrapping herself up in the towel. I laugh. "Is max coming" she asked me taking a sip of her drink. I shook my head no.
"He's sick, I'm gonna stop by later after dinner" she nodded.
"You excited for senior year, last year before we are out of this place" she said and I laughed along.
"Yeah prom, homecoming, football games, you know me I love it" I told her sarcastically. She rolled her eyes.
"Come on Lo, last year then we are done" she said. I laughed.
"Your right"
"Lo, Kenna come on" we heard Michael yell. I stood up.
"You coming I asked Kenna who was laying down on a lawn chair. She shook her head.
" I'll be there in a few".
"What do you boys want" I asked the idiots that were messing around. "Where's Caleb" I asked Michael and Logan before being shoved into the pool.
"Are you serious, twice in two days" I said getting my head out of the water. I turn to see Logan and Michael dying and Caleb laughing on the deck.
"Caleb at least help me out" I said reaching my hand up.
"Fine" he said grabbing my hand. I then yanked him has hard as I could into the pool and got out.
"Oldest trick in the book". Caleb swam up and smiled.
"Good one".
"Foods ready" Mr. P yelled to us.  Kenna and I walked over to grab food while the boys dried off. Once everyone had everything they needed, we all sat down at the tables outside and ate.
"Caleb, Logan is asking out Kenzie and if she says yes your gonna be the only single one" Michael teased him. Michael was dating this girl Savannah but she lived a few hours away and they only saw each other every other week. She was sweet and a good girl for Michael, she calmed him down. Caleb rolled his eyes.
"So what, Ill ask a girl out when I want too" he said before taking a bite of his rib. "What made you want to out Kenzie out" he asked Logan.
"We ran into each other at the beach a few weeks ago when I went on vacation, and we hung out a couple times. Totally forgot that her family goes to that beach every other weekend it seems haha" he said. I smiled.
"I like Kenzie she's nice and she doesn't hate me" I laughed. Kenna rolled her eyes.
"You think everyone hates you, you thought I hate you" she said.
"For the record before you I just hung out with these idiots so a lot of girls do hate me" I told her.
"Your over reacting" Luke said. I rolled my eyes.
"Happy birthday day to you" I heard someone singing and looked up to see my mom, Mrs. K, mr. P, Hailey and Casey walking with cake. The boys and Kenna joined in and finished singing. I blew out the candles of the cake that was placed in-front of me and smiled.
"Thanks yall" I said. Caleb's looked at me then grabbed the back of my head and shoved my head into the cake. I lifted my frosted filled face and turned to him.
"Caleb Christian I'm going to murder you" I yelled wiping the frosting off my face. The boys and Kenna kept laughing while I chased him around the yard. I ended up stopping because I tripped and fell.
"Okay I didn't want to make you fall" Caleb said running back over to me. I laughed and stood up.
"It's fine, I'm good" he smiled and we walked back to the rest of the group to enjoy the rest of thenday.
