Next, we had to find explosives to blast through the vault door. "Hey, uh, why don't we get some thermite and just melt the thing?" Jacob said as we drove around thinking of ideas. "Well, that's a good idea, but I don't know the first goddamn thing about thermite," I said. Jacob laughed and said, "Just look it up, dumbass."
"Yeah, I just looked it up, and if you mix all that stu, it burns at almost 4,000 degrees. Damn, that can burn through asphalt?" Everyone in the car was pretty much on board with the thermite thing, so we decided to make our thermite. We got the metal oxide and metal powder and mixed them. There was some izzling, but then nothing. "So what the fuck do we do? Just light i-" FWOOM. The rock that we mixed the powders on melted instantly. We all backed up fast. "Holy SHIT!" Lucas yelled in surprise.
Once the thermite died down, we all looked at each other. "Well." I gulped. "At least we know that the thermite works. I don't think this is a good idea. Way too dangerous." Everyone else quickly expressed their agreement. We decided on a good old-fashioned cutting torch to cut through the hinges on the door.
The problem was, we couldn't find any cutting torches. We were all stumped, so we sat in Jacob's garage in the man-cave that he made, thinking of ideas while listening to the radio.
"Why don't we go back to the thermite? We could get it under control, I bet." Eric said after a long silence. "Yeah, if you feel like burning off your fucking fingers, be my guest." I snapped at him. "Woah, dude, chill out," Jacob said to me.
"Ugh, I'm sorry. I'm just on edge because we can't ind a way to get this stupid ass door open!" I kicked an empty beer can and it flew and smacked against the garage door with a clang. "Breaking news! A convict has escaped from the Revelstoke Maximum Security Prison." we heard from the radio. "God, how can that dude break out of a prison, but we can't break into a vault?" I said annoyedly.
"Wait. There's gotta be a manager at these kinda places right?" Lucas was beginning to speak faster and faster. "So, why don't we barge in there, find the manager, and just ask him to open the vault?" We all agreed with him, but Jacob spoke up irst. "Lucas, ask the manager? This is a robbery, not a goddamn withdrawal on a peaceful Saturday afternoon. We need to force him to open it, and if he doesn't, we'll just threaten to put one in his head.
"Like, I don't know about y'all, but a man in a gas mask with a Glock 18 can be pretty good at forcing people to do things." Jacob laughed. We all laughed with him, and we all cracked open another beer to Lucas's great idea.
