♧ Prologue: Act I [The Outlander Who Caught The Wind] (Part 2)

"Whaatt..!? You're her travel guide!?" Taufan asked loudly, not believing that the pixie he was with, was in fact Lumine's travel guide. "Hey! What's with the question? Of course Paimon is Lumine's guide!" Paimon replied, rather angry with the boy's reaction upon hearing her job as Lumine's companion. Taufan regained his posture as he stared at the pixie with a blank face. "I thought you were just an emergency food." He said with the most monotonous voice ever, but not as good as Ice, the calm and lazy ice/water elemental. "Paimon's not emergency food!" The pixie stomped her foot on the air, not accepting to be called an emergency food.

Taufan laughed at Paimon's tantrum and decided to tease her a bit. Let's just say she'll be a replacement for Halilintar until the wind boy found him. Lumine, who was in front of them, giggled at the doings. When she first woke up in Teyvat, she felt lonely, isolated, that is until Paimon came in her life, following Taufan who she met a few hours ago. Though she just met him, she had a feeling that he wasn't bad, and it was as if he's also in her place, lost.

Just then, running footsteps could be heard as a female voice shouted. "Hey, you! Stop right there!" The three of them looked behind them to see a brown haired girl with a red ribbon headband, jumped out in front of them. Two of them looked astonished to see her, as the other one looked at her with a sense of familiarity. The brown haired girl landed safely as she looked at the two girls cautiously, but was softened when she saw the familiar sapphire eyed boy. "Taufan? What are you doing here?" The girl asked, surprised seeing her friend with an unknown girl and floating pixie.

"Hey, Amber, long time no see!" Taufan waved at the girl, Amber, with a carefree smile, he walked to his friend, leaving the blonde traveler and pixie confused. "Taufan, we've seen each other two days ago. It hasn't been long." Amber crossed her arms with a blank face she could muster. Taufan rubbed the back of his hand with a grin, seeing how the girl in front of him wasn't amused at all. "Ehe.. right. Anyways," The wind elemental moved a few steps back from Amber and pushed his new friend in front of her. "Amber, this is Lumine and her emergency food, Paimon!" Lumine waved at her shyly, followed by Paimon who shouted a 'Hey!' to the sapphire eyed boy.

Taufan looked at the blonde girl and gestured one of his hands to Amber. "Lumine, Paimon, meet Amber, one of my friends. She's a very friendly and fun person once you get to know her." Despite being a stranger to the brown haired girl, she still put on a smile, waving to the traveler and her pixie. "Well, Lumine, I'd say it has been a surprise to meet you. I'm guessing you're Taufan's new friend?" Amber said, as she folded her arms together. "Like Taufan just said, I'm Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius." The said girl continued, doing the Knights of Favonius pose. "But I must ask..." Amber put one of her hands on her waist as she looked at the unfamiliar girl and pixie with curiosity.

"You don't look like citizens of Mondstadt. Explain yourselves." Amber continued her sentence, looking at the girl who was having a hard time finding the right words and Paimon who looked a bit shocked at being suspicious in front of the new girl. Taufan stepped in front of both sides, while looking at her brown haired friend."They don't mean any trouble. They're travelers from a far looking for Lumine's lost brother." Taufan replied, in Lumine amd Paimon's stead. "Hm, looking for your family, huh?" Amber looked down while folding her arms, mind buried in thoughts. "I could help you find your brother by putting some missing posters up, but..." Amber quickly looked at the bright blue sky with a serious face.

"We must get into Mondstadt City first, there has been a dragon roaming around Mondstadt. I'm afraid if we stand still, the dragon might come and attack us." Amber returned her gaze towards the trio. "It's not far from here, I'll escort you there." Amber said, as she lifted her hand towards them. "Aren't you out here for some other reason?" Asked the white haired pixie. Amber put both her hands on her waist and smiled, "I am. But not to worry, me and Taufan can keep you both safe while doing that too." Taufan perked up, as he heard his name being called. "Eh?" Why did Amber suddenly dragged him to her work?
