Chapter-6

Thirty minutes before the ball: (Y/N), Midoyia, and Bakugo are all dressed and ready for the ball. (Y/N) puts on his mask and looks in the Mirror. He is wearing a white suit with gold buttons and a gold pocket square. Midoyia is wearing a green suit with gold lace over his left breast. Bakugo is wearing a red suit with orange buttons.  They all put their masks on. Midoyia is wearing a green mask with gold stripes. Bakugo is wearing a red mask with orange stripes. (Y/N) turn and looks at his friends.

"I hope you two have fun tonight. I hope you find someone special tonight." (Y/N) tells them. Midoyia looks at (Y/N).

"You too, it is your ball after all. Try and enjoy it." Midoyia says to him. Bakugo walks to him and puts his hand on his shoulder. Bakugo nods. They all leave the princes chambers and walk to the grand ballroom.

They walk into the grand ballroom. This room has long stair case on one side which leads to a door, with access to the palace gardens. There are two thrones on the dance floor for the King and Queen to sit. The room is white with a marble floor with designs on the floor. It's all decorated with roses, flowery vines, and colorful tapestries. There was also food and drink for all the guests.

(Y/N), Midoriya, and Bakugo walk down the stair case and walk to the middle of the floor. They turn and look up at the top of the stairs. The guests walk inside the room and start walking down the stairs. The maidens are bowing, smiling, and waving at (Y/N), some even wave and bow to Midoryia and Bakugo They smile and waves back to them. When all the guests enter the ballroom, the trumpets sound to announce the arrival of the King and Queen. The King and Queen enter at the top of the stairs. The King is wearing a royal green suit with a green mask with red dots. The Queen is wearing a pink dress with a pink mask. Everyone bows to them when they enter the room. The raises his hands to the crowd.

"Welcome to this Royal Masquerade ball. As you know, my son will be dancing with every eligible maiden in our kingdom. He is the only person here wearing the half black and silver mask. You will also get a chance to dance with Midoryia the princes loyal friend and Bakugo another one of his loyal friends. Let the ball begin." The King announces to the crowd. The crowd claps and cheers as the King and Queen walk down the stairs and sit in their thrones. The music begins with a slow and steady beat and the dancers begin to dance around the sides of the dance floor. The middle is reserved for (Y/N), Midoryia and Bakugo. A line of young maidens are waiting along the wall near access to the garden. The line is long and (Y/N) walks up to the first young maiden and offers his hand. The maiden takes it and they walk to the middle of the dance floor.

"Tell me about your adventures your highness." She asks in a shaky voice. (Y/N) smiles and looks at her.

"Nothing really much to tell. Slayed a few dragons, rescued a few princesses and saved some kingdoms. Usual things." (Y/N) he tells her. A squire walks up with the next maiden. The squire and (Y/N) trade girls and the squire asks who does she want to dance with next.

After about fifteen minutes, (Y/N) has danced with what felt like fifty maidens. Midoryia and Bakugo also danced with some of them, but not as much. Tsuyus turns is next. Stepmother is next to her. As the girl in front of Tsuyu goes up, stepmother starts to talk to her.

"Remember, don't ribbit in front of the prince. You are not a frog. Also don't bother dancing with the friends. They aren't worth it. You only dance with the prince and get him to like you" Stepmother tells Tsuyu. Tsuyu just looks at her mother.

"Why did you destroy Urarakas dress?" She asks her. Stepmother looks annoyed.

"A Cinderella does not belong in a castle with royalty. She is nothing and she stole yours and Togas things." She says to Tsuyu. Tsuyu looks away and sees the squire coming. The squire walks up to Tsuyu and offers his hand. She takes it and walks to (Y/N). Squire and (Y/N) switch partners and Tsuyu starts to dance with him. She doesn't talk at all and looks upset. (Y/N) notices this. The squire is just about to bring the next girl, when (Y/N) hold up his hand to hold her there. The stepmother gets excited. (Y/N) and Tsuyu continue to dance.

"Is there something troubling you?" (Y/N) asks her. She looks at him.

"Permission to talk about a problem that my sister and I have? Ribbit."She asks him.

"You may." (Y/N) tells her. Ignoring the Ribbit.

"My mother is a horrible person. She destroyed a dress that my sister and I made for our stepsister. She treats her horribly. Ribbit. And she is always trying to get me and my sister to act unkind to her. Ribbit." She finishes telling him. (Y/N) looks sad.

"I'm sorry that you are upset. Is there anything that I can do to help you?" (Y/N) asks her. Tsuyu looks over at Midoryia. Midoryia is standing with one arm behind his back. Waiting for the next maiden to walk up.

"Can I dance with him? Ribbit." She asks him. Pointing at Midoryia. (Y/N) looks who she is pointing at. He nods and takes her hand. He walks her over to Midoryia. Midoryia is shocked to see (Y/N) in front of him with a maiden.

"She requested you Midoryia. Please keep her happy? He asks him. Midoryia looks at Tsuyu and blushes. He bows to her and she curtsies. (Y/N) hands Tsuyu hand to Midoryia. He takes her hand and the two begin to dance. (Y/N) walks back to his spot on the floor and waits for the next maiden.

While Tsuyu was dancing with (Y/N). Toga is next in line. Stepmother talks to her.

"You need to act more lady like. Don't talk about swords, dragons, or anything of that nature. He's only interested in finding a bride." She tell Toga. She's not even paying attention. She watching Tsuyu the squire walks up to her and was about to offer his hand when they see (Y/N) hand go up. The maidens are all in shock.

"Look at that, the prince wants more time with Tsuyu. She might be the one, I hope she is. We belong with royalty." Stepmother tells Toga. They watch as she continues to dance with him, but they see her go to see Midoryia. Stepmothers smile vanished and replaced with anger. "What is she doing?" She asked.

"It looks like she wanted to dance with him." Toga answered her. Stepmother turns to Toga.

"You better win him over. If you don't, then I'll never...I mean we will never get to live the way we want." Stepmother says. Toga did caught that. The squire offers his hand to Toga. She takes it and he walks her to (Y/N). The squire hands Togas hand to (Y/N). He takes her hand and they start to dance. Toga is also silent and looks sad.

"Let me guess, you are Tsuyus sister?" (Y/N) guesses. She nods. (Y/N) holds up his hand to the squire. The squire again holds. " Is your mother here?" He asks her. Toga points to her. The stepmother smiles and waves at them. (Y/N) stares at her. He remembers her. "She yelled at me the other day." He tell Toga in a cold voice. Togas eyes go wide. She stops dancing and bows to him.

"I'm so sorry your highness, I didn't know. I'm sorry for her behavior. I'm so embarrassed." She tells (Y/N). He helps her up and they continue to dance again.

"You did nothing wrong your lady and ether did your sister. You two are kind hearted and she isn't. If you have a request, I will grant it." He tells Toga. She looks over Bakugo. Bakugo is stand with both arms behind his back, waiting for a maiden.

"May I have a dance with him?" Toga asks point at Bakugo. (Y/N) smiles and takes her hand. He walks her over to Bakugo and Bakugo bows. He doesn't need (Y/N) to tell him what's going on. He sticks his hand out and she takes it. Bakugo and Toga begin to dance. (Y/N) returns to his spot once again. He sees the stepmother, and she turn red with anger.

After another fifteen minutes, (Y/N) calls the squire over without a maiden. The squire walks over and he whispers something into his ear. The squire nods and walks back to the maidens still waiting for a dance.

"The prince will be taking a water break. He will return shortly." The squire tell the maidens. The prince walks over to the table with the refreshments and drinks some water. Then starts to walk to the King and Queen.
