"Don't be ridiculous," Shikamaru refuted. "I'm not some girl."

"Beauty isn't defined by gender," Naruto told him softly. "Beauty is the embodiment of everything Shikamaru Nara is. Your intelligence, your sarcastic behavior, the intensity of your emotions, the flare you get in your eyes when your plans go according to plan. The desire to protect your clan, your friends, even me. Do not ever brush away my compliments."

Shikamaru smiled and nodded and Naruto kissed him as the fireworks exploded in the background. "I love you Naruto," Shikamaru had started crying. "You're such a drag but I love you so much."

Shikamaru wrapped his arms around Naruto's neck as the blonde held his waist. The blonde smiled in the kiss. "I love you too shadow."
