My thighs burn with the effort and sweat begins to accumulate in my temples and drip down the side of my face.
I pull the air and release it hardly, but the school is right at the end of this street and I don't like to take much breaks. I usually leave the house when it's still dark and, if I'm lucky, the sun is already rising when I arrive at the Thunder Bay Prep building.
It hasn't been a long time since I started doing this, maybe since Sec's last birthday. He is in the transition between child and preteen so mom wanted to have a full children's party.
"I don't know how long you'll be my babies anymore, so I'll enjoy it while your brother still accepts a children's party instead of an afternoon at paintball with friends."
Dad suggested they make more babies to replace the ones that are growing up and I laughed while Finn faked to feel sick. They're a really cute couple, my mom and dad. And they're so happy together, sometimes I ask myself if I'll ever gonna be like this.
Anyways, over calories on birthday cakes go straight to my ass, so they gotta go. I finally get back gate and it's already open with some school staff getting ready for the day.
I wish some of them I see through my way to the changing room a good morning and finally get to shove myself under the warm water at the showers. I know I shouldn't have washed my hair because I don't have any of my products with me, but I don't regret it, the feeling is too good for that.
I don't take too long because the schedule at the aisle says there's P.E. Class this morning for the Senior's. I bet the girls would be really mad at me if use all the hot water.
I put the uniform on and sleek the plaid skirt while I look at myself in the mirror. Luckily I had a comb in my closet and that's why I'm not leaving this bathroom with a wet nest on my head.
— Good Morning! — Jett voice's sounds humming behind me while I'm at my locker getting supplies for my first class.
She looks... well, stunning as always. Jett doesn't step out of her house without getting all dressed up. She must have a lip gloss and a eyelash mascara in each of her bags which, I have to admit, are many. Uncle Kai couldn't deny her anything when he makes those Bambi eyes.
— Oh dear, did you leave in such a hurry that you couldn't even dry your hair? Did you at least had breakfast? Well, anyways, you can come with me, right? — she hooks her arm on mine and we begin our walk to the cafeteria.
In our course she greets lots of people and I just smile at some of them while her heels Mary Janes take part as our soundtrack through the hallways.
Jett is basically the extroverted that has adopted me.
When we get to the cafeteria the table was crowded, she sits by my side and immediately an football player who exhibits proudly his team hoodie almost every day runs his arm around her shoulders.
— My blazer! Don't you mess it up... — says but I can see the little smirk while she reclines a little bit more against his chest.
I don't know his name but it's not important, for sure he'll be replaced in a few weeks.
Jett falls in love a lot. And actually that's not a bad thing, but with guys like these, I wouldn't say is a good thing either. She's intense and dives deeply, and that almost every time ends up in a heartbroken. The good part is hers heartbreaks bloom her creativity, and by the end of it she has one or two masterpiece sketchers, until all starts again.
