Luna pov
I woke up confused as to when I even fell asleep the end credits of the movie were playing and. A pain in my neck started to make it self known I check my phone to see that we only have 40 minutes left till we land. So I decided to just go back to sleep.
"Mis we're about to land"
I open my eyes to see the flight attendant
"Oh sorry thank you"
"No problem" she said as she smiled and continued to wake up other passengers.
I gather any of my belongings I had out and got ready to get out. As the plane landed everyone started to head out me as well. When I was picking out my last bag I heard someone call my name
"LUNA LUNA!!"
I turn around to see my dad. When I finally see him i remember how much I missed him. I run to hug him he was already waiting with his arms open. When we are done hugging he grabs my bags and we head to the car.
"I missed you so much pumpkin look how big you've gotten"
"Haha I missed you to dad I'm so excited for this year "
He smiles and open the trunk to put my bags inside. I make my way to the passenger seat waiting for him to climb inside. When we arrive to the to house he tosses me the keys and I open the door waiting for him to come in. I smiled at him a smile so big that made my cheeks hurt. But just in seconds it falls as I hear giggling coming from inside the house. I wonder if I got the wrong house but how could I if he gave me the keys and the door opened. So many questions rushed and twirled in my head. He was still oblivious to the fact that my mood changed. I made my way inside the house leaving my dad outside. When I got to the living area there was a lady with a toddler playing on the floor. They still hadn't seen or heard me. But by the time I was about to speed my dad comes in and I see his smile drop as well. I look at him confused trying to figure out what is happening. He was going to speak until the lady spoke.
"Oh hey honey i didn't even see you there"
She got up and gave him a kiss on the lips as I stared at both at them wide eyed. He and my mom were still together why would he cheat on her. I was furious and confused all I wanted was for him to explain him self. Sure they didn't live together because of their job but they still loved each other.
"Luna i didn't want you to find out this way let me explain. I love your mom but just not in that way anymore she knows about this relationship and she's totally fine with it. We just never got a divorce because we didn't want you to grow up with divorced parents Im sorry line we kept this from you. Amanda you weren't supposed to be here yet I was going to tell you when you could come. "
My dad rushed out an explanation that confused me even more it was overwhelming to hear this I just needed to get away from this for a moment to clear my head.
"Um I don't know what to say I'm going to I need a moment please I'll be back when my heads clear"
I say not sparing them a glance I still had his car keys so I ran to his car and got my bag out of it that had my rolled up joints. The woods were close and considering I love the company the trees give me I ran till I found a good place to set up. I stumbled upon a cut down tree trunk that was a perfect shelter. I opened my bag and got out my joint as well as a lighter. I place the joint in between my lips holding the lighter at the tip so I could light it up. I could feel the smoke make it's way to my lungs and that feeling was comforting to me in this situation. I just didn't know what to think maybe I was over reacting and it wasn't a big deal they both agreed to this so I don't think I should have over reacted. But it all just came crashing at me full force I just wasn't ready. I wasn't ready to see my dad have a whole other life a while other family. Well at this point it's all done there's nothing I could do about it.
I was halfway done lost in my thoughts until I heard a noise that made my head snap toward the sound. It sounded like a tree branch breaking. But when I looked there was nothing. All I could hear was the wind whispering and carrying leafs across the floor. I thought nothing about it so I lost my self in my thought again until I felt like I was being watched. So I stand up and look around. But yet agin there was no one. I finished the joint and left not liking being watched. As I was walking I heard footsteps but they were so quite it was al most like I was imagining it I probably was so I ignored it. When I saw the house get bigger I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I put the key in unlocking the door I could feel the atmosphere and it was thick I could probably cut it with a knife. As I walked in and headed words the living area I could hear talking so I softened my steps to be extra quiet. But I could make out anything that was said.
"Luna i was worried where were you"
