Look What They've Done to You

30 2 1

The Sun of heavens, he was called,

His glory unmatched in anyone's eyes,

Even amongst the infinite stars he stood tall,

With envy, he was deemed Heaven's child

Ambitious, that his brilliant mind was,

Naivety would cost him his all,

Heaven's child, ha! Look where you are

However tall you stand, is how far you fall.

Wars start, can he just stand by?

Join the swords, or pull his people back?

Oh, little crown prince, it's justice you decide?

Face masked, you are a new man.

"Body in abyss, heart in paradise,"

What would you know about the abyss?

I'll show you where you stand, boy

For the future, you'll be my perfect choice.

Look at you, so sad, so sad,

reduced to a tantrum throwing child,

You did to him everything you can,

Yet, he's reached a place far out of your grasp

"So similar we are, yet oh so different,

We should've stuck together, each other's only need

Yet you watch with disgust, your denial so vehement,

I alone know your suffering, why don't you trust me?"

Two sons of heaven, once loved by all,

stood so high then, yet fell so far

begged to them all, wronged by them all,

yet, one embraced the abyss,

while in paradise lay the other's heart,

one of the many things that stood them apart...
