We've created our awards this year to be able to accept unlimited participants! How we will be doing this is in the form of three rounds.
Round One - Qualifiers
Judges will be reading the blurb and first chapter (or the equivalent of 2000 words). It will be judged according to hook and technical aspects. All entries reaching the minimum score will qualify.
Round Two - Category Winners
Judges will be reading the first three chapters (or the equivalent of 6000 words if you have short chapters). It will be judged according to the rubrics provided in the below chapter. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced for each category.
Round Three - Grand Winner
All Judges will read the first five chapters (or the equivalent of 10,000 words) of all 1st place winners from round two and score them. The highest mean score from all the categories will be dubbed the Grand Winner of The Pride Awards 2023.
Timeline
May 18th - Forms open.
June 7th - Forms close and judging begins.
June 21st - Round One qualifiers are announced.
July 19th - Final three winners for each category is announced.
August 9th - Grand winner is announced.
