After a while a door opens and I hear loud footsteps walking towards me. If Zayden thinks this will scare me it won't. I still won't listen to him, this just makes me hate him more.
Him and his friend step into the cell. "So you like causing scenes I see." I roll my eyes "so do you apparently." He chuckles. "You know the attitude will do you no good considering you're the one chained to the wall." He says and I scoff.
"So what I can give you as much attitude as I want because this whole chaining me to the wall thing. Is doing nothing but making me hate you more." I say and he shrugs. "Welcome to the club there's a thousand others that hate me. You're the only one that tests me."
I smile. "It's nice to know a girl like me has a huge effect on you." He rolls his eyes. "Guys, take care of her. I actually want to get to class on time." He says and starts walking away.
"Oh yeah, have your friends do your dirty work. You're all talk and no action." I say and he continues walking. "You're such a fucking pussy if you want to make a point you should do it yourself." I angrily say.
That makes Zayden turn around. "ENOUGH." He yells. His voice is full of power and venom. "Stop acting like a badass. The only thing bad about you is your personality." He angrily says.
Ouch that hurts a lot more than I expected. "Stop acting all bad and tough. You're far from it. And next time I won't be so nice. The next time you try anything like that I won't bring you down here. I'll just kill you right then and there in front of everyone. And I don't care who sees cause no one will say anything. You want to know why?" He asks and I stay quiet.
"Because they know their place and know not to mess with me." He practically screams. I gulp as I look at him.
His eyes are glowing bright red. Like bright bright red and they're glowing. The room is glowing a light red all because of his eyes. It looks as though you have a red light on. Except it isn't as bright.
"Wh-what's wrong with your eyes?" I ask and Zayden just stares at me. "If you know what's good for you. You'll stay quiet and never test me again." He says and I slowly nod
He then turns around and continues walking away as though nothing happened. As though it's normal for people's eyes to change color and glow. "Forget the punishment, she can stay there all day. We'll let her down tomorrow morning." Zayden practically growls.
His friends look at me for a few seconds before walking away as well. Really they're just going to leave me down here. But I'm not going to say anything. Zayden's eyes were bright red, like literally glowing. Why were they glowing red?
That's weird. I've never seen eyes change color let alone to a color like red. And I've never seen someone's eyes glow before.
I guess being down here won't be so bad. I won't have to deal with the students staring at me. And I won't have to deal with teachers forcing me to introduce myself.
And eating I'll be fine. I had a little bit of my French toast this morning. I don't need food. I've gone days without eating. I'll be fine.
And I won't have to deal with Jaxon. Don't get me wrong, he's very nice. But with him flirting with me and calling me newbie. I hate that nickname. I know I'm the new girl now, move on. But it's fine I'm sure after a while he'll stop calling me that.
And being down here will give me time to think. And process that I'm at a new school with some guy that really hates me. And that guy has glowing red eyes when he gets mad.
He also thinks everyone has to kiss the ground he walks on or they'll get punished. I hate him. He thinks he's all that and that he's special but he isn't. He's nothing. Just another stupid guy in another dumb school.
Wait, what am I supposed to do if I have to go to the bathroom? How am I supposed to go to the bathroom when I'm chained to the wall? Am I supposed to hold it in? What if I can't hold it all day and night.
How am I supposed to go to the bathroom? I can't go to the bathroom. What if I really badly have to go. Ugh this is going to be a long day. I sigh and lean my head against the wall.
The day goes by a lot slower than I thought. Turns out counting lines and cracks in a cement cell is very boring. After a while I decide to close my eyes and try to sleep. But sleeping standing up chained to a wall is a lot harder than you think.
I give up and just end up imagining what I'd be doing right now if I was still at the old school. What mom, dad, Ella, and I would be doing. Maybe we'd be watching a movie. Or playing a video game.
Ella loved playing video games with me. She'd get so happy when she would win. And if she would lose she'd get mad and scream that I'm cheating. It was so funny because she wasn't intimidating no matter how hard she tried to be.
After a while a door opens and someone is walking towards me. Though it isn't Zayden like I thought. Instead it's Jaxon and Nora. "Hey sweetie, we came to get you out." Nora says and I shake my head.
"No, I'll get in more trouble if Zayden comes down tomorrow and I'm not here. He'll find me and I'll get hurt. And I can't. His eyes were red. Do you know they glow red when he's mad." I say as I try my best to keep my eyes open.
"Sure sweetie, think whatever you want to think." Nora says and I shake my head. "No they were. I told him that he's all talk and no action and that he's a pussy for having his friends punish me and not him." I force my eyes open. "Then he yelled at me and his eyes were red. Bright red and they glowed." I explain and Nora and Jaxon laugh.
"Ok newbie I think you're a little sleep deprived." Jaxon says as he walks over to me and starts unhooking me. "No, I'll get in trouble if I leave. If he comes down tomorrow and I'm not here he'll find me. I don't want any more trouble." I admit and Jaxon looks at me.
"Really? You'd rather stay here all night then deal with him." He asks and I nod. Jaxon looks at Nora and she shrugs. "Fine I guess we'll leave." Jaxon says. "See you tomorrow. I hope you sleep well." Nora states as she starts walking away.
I sigh and finally let my eyes close. I fall asleep I guess from being too tired or being too bored I don't know.
I wake up to the sound of footsteps. The cell door opens. "Good morning sunshine." I hear Zayden say. I groan and slowly open my eyes.
Zayden and his friends are standing there. They look so nice. They're all wearing sleeveless shirts and sweatpants. "You look like hell." One of Zayden's friends says and everyone laughs.
"So did you learn your lesson." Zayden asks. "Are your eyes going to turn red again?" I ask and Zayden rolls his eyes. "If you don't piss me off they'll stay their normal color." He states and I slowly nod.
"Then yes I learned my lesson." I whisper and Zayden smiles. "Let her down." He says and his friends walk over to me.
They unchain me. I stand up and stretch hoping it'll make me feel less dead. I groan a little and my back cracks. I look up and Zayden is smiling at me. "What? I was chained to a wall all day and night." I snap and Zayden chuckles.
Wait, he laughed. He just laughed. I made him laugh. Is that a good thing? Or is he laughing because I look weird? Do I look weird? I mean I'm stretching.
His laugh was so cute though. Oh my god no. Don't think like that. He had you chained down here all day. And his eyes were red. Which is very creepy and weird.
"Well aren't you going to try to leave?" Zayden asks. "You mean I can leave." I whisper and he nods. "Thank you." I say and start walking away. I hear him chuckle and hear his friends say something.
I walk around until I find the exit. I wander around until I find the steps. I walk into Nora and I's room. I grab clothes and walk into the bathroom.
I quickly shower and put on jeans and a random t-shirt. I put on my sneakers and quickly blow dry my hair. I run down the steps and almost hit someone.
"Watch where you're going stupid bitch." The guy hisses. "Don't call me that you don't even know me." I snap and he rolls his eyes.
"You better watch your back." He says and I look at him shocked. "Is that a threat?" I ask. "I don't know sweetheart is it?" He asks. I roll my eyes and continue walking down the steps.
I walk into the dinning room. Everyone looks at me and then turns to each other and start whispering. I gulp and walk over to the table Nora and I normally sit at.
"Hey you're back." Nora says. "Here you need to eat and drink something." Jaxon says and pushes a plate of waffles towards me. He then hands me a glass of orange juice.
"Thank you." I say and he nods. I eat and drink everything. Which actually shocked me. I normally don't eat 3 waffles for breakfast and I normally don't drink 2 cups of orange juice. But I didn't eat yesterday so that explains it.
I look around waiting for Zayden and his friends to come. They're normally here by now. "They're not coming." Amber giggles and I look at her confused.
"Why not?" I ask and Nora and her friends laugh. "Every Friday him and his friends are outside most of the day practicing." Lily explains.
"Practicing for what?" I ask and Nora and her friends laugh for a second time. "Geeees he yells at you and locks you in the room for a day and you decide to be obsessed with him." Nora says and rolls her eyes.
"I am not obsessed with him." I say defending myself and she looks at me. "I'm not." I say and cross my arms across my chest. She looks at me and smiles.
I roll my eyes. "I'm not obsessed with him." She continues smiling. "I'm not." I whine and she smiles even more. "You like him." She says and I shake my head. "No, I don't just shut up." She giggles and looks at her friends.
"It's a waste of your time." Nora's friend Lily says. "What?" I ask and she rolls her eyes. "Zayden, he's a waste of your time. He doesn't date any of the girls here. None of us are good enough for him." She says a little annoyed and I look at Nora confused.
Nora just shrugs and goes back to joking about how I like him. Which I don't. I don't like him at all. He's annoying and mean and has creepy red eyes.
