Devil Jr

Chapter 1

     "Do I have to go?" I ask my parents as I place the suitcase of my stuff in the back of our car. "You will be fine sweetheart, it's only for a year and you have our numbers. Call us if anything happens." My mom says as she wraps her arm around my shoulder.
     I take a deep breath and exhale as I move away from my mom and climb in the back seat of the car. "Lighten up sis we're finally leaving the house. And we get to see Nora." My little sister Ella says.
     "I know and I can't wait to see Nora. We haven't seen her in years, but I don't know it just feels weird you know leaving the house. Especially for as long as we will be." I say as I look out the window and watch the trees fly by.
     Finally after what feels like forever my parents stop the car. I smile and look out the window. I expect to see a small house, but instead of a house there's a huge town completely surrounded by a huge gate.
     Why even is there a gate? I mean this town is surrounded by woods so why is there a gate? Is this like a private town or something.
     The gate opens and my dad drives into the town. The gate closes as soon as we drive in. I gulp as I look outside at everything.Not only is the town surrounded by a fence and a forest which is scary enough. There are also a lot of statues and not normal statues or people. No of gargoyles and very huge wolves. I'm pretty sure there were also a few lion statues.
     I expected the house to be old and raggedy looking, but to my surprise they are super nice looking and completely spotless. That's odd, it looks like the houses were just built. This place looks very weird and creepy.
     I look over at Ella. She's staring out the window looking at everything with a huge smile on her face. Well that makes one person excited to be here.
     My parents pull into a driveway. Of one of the very nice looking houses. It's light yellow with a white door in the front of it. It has at least 6 windows and looks like it has at least 3 stories.
    "Are you girls going to stare at the house all day or are you going to get out of the car and help carry your stuff inside." Dad says and I climb out of the car.
     I grab most of the suitcases I brought with me and bring them inside. But as soon as I walk inside the door I stop. There are a lot more people than I expected and it's a lot bigger than I thought. This definitely isn't a house it's got to be something else there's no way at least 20 people live in 1 house. What kind of place is this? Why are there so many people in this house? I thought this was aunt Mia's house? I look at Ella and she has the same confused look on her as I do. Though she also looks very excited.
     "AHHHH Luna you're here I can't believe it." My cousin Nora says. She has light brown hair and freckles going across her nose and cheeks. She has brownish green eyes. She's very pretty and has changed a lot since I last saw her.
     She runs down the steps and throws her arms around me and Ella. "Luna You're staying in my room with me. I hope that's ok." She quietly says and I smile. Ella, your parents know what room you are in, they will take you there. "Of course that's fine, just lead the way." I hug and say bye to my parents and tell Ella I will see her later.
    Nora helps me take my suitcases upstairs to her, now our room. Her room is a very simple room. Tan walls, 2 dressers, a closet, a desk and 2 beds. I'm assuming the one with only a bed sheet on it is mine.
     "Well make yourself at home. I will leave you alone to unpack your things. Dinner will be done by 5 so I'll come and get you around then." Nora says. I smile and nod.
     She leaves, closing the door behind her. I sigh and start to unpack my things. I look outside and see the forest and fence. This is my life for the next year. This is the same weird forest and odd fence I'm going to look at for a year.
