12. Getting Her Back

Laurenza ran as fast as she could hoping to bump into someone who could save her from Ludovico. She found no one on her route. She ran to the wine cellar. Maybe she could lock herself in until some help arrived. But as she tried to open the cellar door, it didn't open because Ludovico suddenly caught up to her and placed his strong arm on the door not letting it open. Laurenza closed her eyes with her hand on the door handle as Ludovico had his hand on the door.

Ludovico demanded "Turn around. Now. There is no way to run and hide. I always get what I want and that's you..."

Laurenza took a deep breath, opened her eyes and turned around slowly. She looked into his darkened eyes "I cant't be with you. Ever." She then gulped at his demeanour. She told herself "Nice one Laurie. Look what you have done. Get just got him angry..."

Ludovico had both his hands on either side of her on the door "I will never let you run away from me again. I spent years trying to find you... I won't let you out of my sight again."

A noise came from behind Ludovico. He turned It was a maid.

That was enough distraction for Laurenza to slip away from under his arms and run again.

Ludovico chased her again.

Laurenza ran as fast as she could aimlessly at Vitale's mansion hoping this time she could find a saviour. Laurenza managed to enter a room and saw hope as she spotted Viggo standing in the middle of the room alone reading a document as though waiting for someone. This was a meeting room. This was Vitale Rosario's meeting room.

It all happened so quick. She knew she could be shot at if she stormed into a room like this at Vitale Rosario's mansion but she didn't care. She had no choice and had to take her chances.

The expression on the Viggo's face was not anger when she first saw her enter but it was one of surprise and amusement. Laurenza walked to Viggo and stood behind him trying to hide from Ludovico. She said "Please help me..."

Suddenly the door burst open and Ludovico entered the room. He walked in Viggo's direction "Laurenza..."

Laurenza said to Viggo "Please keep him away from me..."

Viggo turned and noticed the the panic on Laurenza's face. He then turned and  saw Ludovico's determined expression as he was walking towards him and Laurenza.

Viggo put his hands on his hips and shook his head "Wait.... Ludovico... Laurenza is my responsibility. She is a doctor who works at my hospital. Tell me what's your problem with her.... You will not hurt her..."

Ludovico stopped walking and stood within a few steps away from Viggo "Hurt her? What do you mean? I am not going to hurt her... She is my girl... I have been looking for her all over the world and I have finally found her... She wont run away from me again... There is no way in hell I am allowing her to get away from me this time.... Step aside and hand her over to me..."

Viggo had no idea. This information was news to him. He looked at Laurenza and then at Ludovico. He whispered to Laurenza "Is this true? Are you the girl he has been looking for?"

Laurenza said to Viggo "Yes. It's true... But ... Please... Dont let him take me... Dont give me to him.... I have moved on from this man... I want to be able to re-marry a normal person..."

Ludovico saw blood as he walked towards Viggo. Vitale intercepted Ludovico and blocked his path "Calm down..."

Ludovico looked at Viggo with murder in his eyes "I want her handed over to me now or I am storming the Rosarios with my men... If you dont hand her over to me, this means  war.... I want her now... She is mine... "
