skylars eyes wrinkled as she squeezed them shut from the bright light that shone into her eyes. a vibration of someone's voice, most likely her father or the twins, rang into her ears. godric, what time was it?

she swatted at a hand harshly, "i'm getting up!" she groaned.

the girl turned her head to see two redheaded faces peering down at her with amusement. irritation filled her veins as she quickly grabbed her pillow, hitting both twins with it.

"i knew it was you two blokes!" her croaky voice slightly shouted.

they both left the room, sharing giggles like two year old children. skylar let out a huff as she moved the hair out of her face. she saw hermione at the doorway, already dressed and ready to leave. "come on, we've got twenty minutes to leave!"

"alright, give me a moment." she sighed, standing up from the ground where she once slept.

after a few minutes, skylar was fully dressed and ready to leave. her brown and white stripped sweater hug above her black jean shorts as she walked down the stairs of the weasley home. she glared at the tall redheaded twins sitting together at the table.

her eyes met with her father who was standing in the kitchen helping mrs. weasley with their quick breakfast. "g'morning, dad." she spoke, taking the toast from fred's hands as he was about to bite into it.

"morning, dear! are you excited for the world cup today?" her father chirped, obviously very excited since he was awake and talking this early.

skylar smirked at fred as he shot her a glare, "yeah, i'm sure it'll be loads of fun." she smiled, walking over to her father.

"i forgot to mention, that boy from your year, cedric diggory is it? the prefect boy? him and his father will be joining us today." her dad said, making the color drain from his daughters face.

her head snapped over to the twins who were both snickering at one another while looking at the girl. to them, it was no secret that she had slightly fancied the hufflepuff boy in her first year. i mean, he is handsome, but she didn't know him. and of course, the twins make big deals out of anything that is slightly embarrassing to her.

"that's..great. the more the merrier, right?" she muttered, fake enthusiasm hidden in her voice.

her father checked his watch. "we've got to get going if we don't want to be late."

it wasn't long before mr weasley and her father were ushering all the kids out of the house to start heading off. all yawning and stumbling over their feet, the children left the burrow up the hill where arthur said the portkey was.

the portkey would take them to the campsite where people from around the world would be staying for the quidditch world cup. bill, charlie and percy would be apparating later today to the site as they were of age, much to everyone else's dismay.

skylars bag sat along her shoulder as she walked next to hermione and ginny. they seemed the most awake out of the lot, and were cheerfully chatting away so early.

"dad! where are we going?!" skylar yelled from the back and her father barely answered her, as he had seen someone coming to meet them up.

"amos!" mr. weasley and her father grinned as they led the group behind them towards amos and his son. The two men shook hands with mr. diggory.

"this is amos diggory, everyone." mr weasley said. "works for the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures." he smiled.

skylars eyes peered over to the older man at the mention of his work. mr. diggory looked over to her, "oh, this is your daughter i've heard so much about? skylar?" he asked her father.
