'He doesn't love me' 'Why would he ever love me?' 'I'm stupid for even thinking about it'
Yep, Matt has an unrequited love. For his best friend, Michael Kheel, who is better known as Mello.
'Mello' Matt thought to himself. His longish golden hair, his brilliant blue eyes, his fair, smooth skin.. His everything. He was perfect. Loyal, strong, defensive, smart, caring at times, sarcastic.
'Everything I've ever wanted in a partner'
However, Matt was certain that these feelings weren't returned. Why would they? Matt's as unremarkable as people come. Utterly average, 3rd out of 10 sometimes lower, not terrible but not great either.
Mello was brilliant. Always a strong second, with strong determination to be first. 2nd out of 10, always towards the top, never wavering.
