Near Pov:Near is now convinced that books are designed wrong. Everything is so small so for someone like him, who has terrible eyesight but doesn't have glasses, it can be difficult to read sometimes.
That's when a shadow appeared above him.
"Oi Sheepface. Your squinting again."
"Yes, I am aware of that Mello. The writing in this book is tiny."
"That's a normal book ghost-boy."
"Yes I'm aware of that as well, but I can't see properly at the moment so it looks a lot smaller and blurrier than it is."
"Your eyesight's bad?" Mello sounded confused for the first time in a while. "Since when!?"
"Well, my eyes have never been perfect, but they are getting worse. I should probably have glasses by now but oh well."
"How can you be okay with that?!"
"Because, I've been taught from a young age to expect to end up with bad eyesight. Most albinos have bad eyes."
He turned around as he said this, looking up at Mello. Except one thing looked different about him, his eyes. His eyes were a bright red.
"What's with the BB eyes?" Mello had went from concerned and confuse to angry and confused very quickly as he said this.
"Oh, that's the lighting. what your seeing is the blood vessels at the back of my eyes. It's also why, sometimes, my eyes look violet."
"What the fuck?"
"Don't question it. Albinism is weird."
"No shit, Sherlock."
