Near's Coming out

Mello's POV

Everything is just a normal day. Matt's on his games, I'm eating chocolate, Near is in his room and all the others are irrelevant.

I thought that anyway. That's when Near stepped out of his room, he looked uncomfortable. Which is odd as he never showed emotions, but he seemed uncomfortable and scared, even though it was hard to tell.

"Oi, lamb bitch! What's up?" I just called him Lamb Bitch.

"Hm, well I think I figured something out. Something about me."

"Well go on, you might as well tell me now. What is it"

I was leaning into his face. He looked confused but also sort of happy? He's smiling ever so slightly.

"I-i think I might be trans.." he looked up at me in fear before looking down at the floor.

"You think you might be trans? K, what's your gender?"

"I think f-female" he still sounded scared.

"Okay, got it. I'm assuming you would like she/her?"

"Well, preferably but I'm not ready to come out to everyone yet. I don't know how everyone will take it."

"Okay, just update me as to who knows so I know who I can refer to you as a girl with." Poor girl, she looked so scared a moment ago.

"Matt's okay. He's already out as gay and a demiboy, he's trustable."

"Do you want me to tell him or for me to tell him?"

"We'll do it together" he smiled at me, it was possibly the most genuine smile I will ever see from Near. She just won't smile like that again.
