I graduated at the top of my class as a pilot which means I am one of the best out there. When flying I like to hum to myself so then it is not quiet in the plane I am flying. All the best pilot's usually get sent to a place called Topgun. I just got told that I am to go there in the next couple days for a mission. Hearing this news made me so excited. I got my things together and then left for top gun. Once I arrived at the base I put my bag of clothes in the room I will be staying in. The room was okay looking for a military base and it was definitely better than my last room. I looked at my watch and realized my first class was going to start soon. As I walked down the hallwayI bumped into a guy.
"Watch it," he said as he rushed through the hallway in the opposite direction I was walking. I put my hands in my pockets as I watched him walk down the hallway. I then continued to walk towards the room where the first class would be held. As I walked down the hallway I noticed there were no girls. As I walked towards the door a guy started to walk next to me. I kept quiet and kept walking. He walked in silence next to me all the way to the door into the room where the class was. He grabbed the door and held it open for me.
"Ladies first," he said as he used his hand to gesture into the room.
"Thank you sir," I said as I walked into the room. There was one other girl in the room which made me feel a little better. There were ten tables with wood tops. On the tables there were folders with names on them. I looked for my name and sat where it was. Next to me I saw a name I recognized on a folder. The name I saw was Bob Flyod. He was at one of my bases prior to graduation. A couple minutes went past as more people came into the room. There were two people at each table. I spaced out for a couple of minutes. A guy walked up to me and snapped his fingers in front of my face to get my attention. I looked up at him realizing he was sitting on the table in front of me. He looked at me for a couple seconds.
"Well I'll be damned, if it isn't The Guardian Angel herself," he said. My call sign is "The Guardian Angel" because everytime someone is in trouble I usually save their ass. At this point he brought all the attention to me. Everyone was looking at me and this guy. He looked oddly familiar but I could not put a name to his face. I looked to my right and saw a guy sitting there. I didn't even notice him walk and take a seat next to me.
"Are you in awe or are you going to speak?" he said to me.
"Do you need something or are you going to keep sitting there looking at me like some kind of a creep?" I said to him in an annoying tone of voice. Everyone laughed thinking me calling him a creep was funny.
"Dang Coyote! I thought you were good with chicks," someone said from behind me. It all makes sense now that I knew his call sign. This guy sitting in front of me is Coyote, a cocky SOB. He gave me a death glare before he hopped off the table and walked to his seat. He put his sunglasses on.
"That was pretty cool what you did there. No one usually stands up to him," the guy next to me said. He adjusted his glasses.
"Thank you. I am guessing your Bob Floyd?" I said to try and get to know him a little bit better.
"Yes ma'am I am," he held his hand out for me to shake as he spoke.
"It is a pleasure to meet you. What is your callsign again?" I asked, shaking his hand gently.
"My callsign? It's Bob," he said.
I looked at him confused. "Your name is Bob and so is your callsign?"
"No ma'am my real name is Robert so that is where Bob came from," he said, giving me a smile. Before I could say anything else a man walked down the aisle between the desks. Everyone adjusted their attention to the front.
