Mkondi:So what did the detective say? Are they suspecting me?
Mamdluli:No. They wanted me to confirm whether Zesulwa was not home the day Avuyile died.
Mkondi looked at her with pleading eyes.
Mkondi:And what did you say?
Mamdluli pressed her lips together trying so hard to not break down. Why did she lie against Zesulwa like that? She knows she doesn't want her husband to go to jail, even when Avela wanted them to report Mkondi back then; she refused and told Avela that her father didn't mean to hurt her. Avela left not wanting anything to do with her parents.
Mamdluli:I told them he was home.
Mkondi sighed relieved and hugged her.
Mkondi:Thank you mama. I was so scared, I thought you would report me.
Mamdluli: Don't think just because I lied for you I agree with what you did Mkondi. It's sickening to know that my husband is a dirty pervert who preys on young children. Who knows if you haven't tried anything on my other children?
Mkondi looked down in shame and Mamdluli shook her head repeatedly with her mouth wide open.
MaMamdluli: You have got to be kidding me Mkondi. Please tell me you didn't.
Her tears just fell, she doesn't want to believe this.
Mkondi:Mama please listen to me. I didn't mean to please, I didn't do it. I only put the tip.
Mamdluli shook her head crying.
MaMamdluli:What kind of monster did I marry? First you raped my daughter Avela, you raped & technically killed Zesulwa's daughter Avuyile and now you're telling me that you have been putting your penis tip in my other children!? Oh God! What kind of person are you? Did you do that to the three of them!?
Mkondi kept quiet and MaMamdluli took the broom behind the door and pointed at him with it.
MaMamdluli:Ngiphendule Sathane!( Answer me Satan!)
She was angry, livid. She trusted this man. How could she have been so blind to him all these years!?
Mkondi:Mama please put the broom down and let's talk.
Mamdluli:Talk? Talk with who? You're taking me for granted Mkondi. What is it that I lack that you'd go for small children!?
Mkondi:You lack nothing mama. Please calm down.
MaMamdluli charged at him and hit him with the broom so hard. He screamed and stepped back. MaMamdluli chased him around the house trying to hit him busy shouting ," Ungijwayela Kabi wena( You're taking me for a ride).

"Since you don't even have a funeral cover, the government will have to cremate his body. I'm really sorry. We also need to make space for other bodies here."
Yabatha's mom nodded with her eyes red from all the crying, she cried until there was no voice left. She has not come to terms with her son dying, he was so young. And her other son whom she doesn't know where he is, is he even alive? She thanked the lady and went back home defeated. She can't give her son a dignified funeral because she doesn't have a cent on her name, she was reliant on Yabatha. She arrives back at her house and the relatives are still there. Why won't they leave? Because they did not help her with anything.
"Sisi why do you look so sad? Didn't it go well?", her sister asks her.
Ya's mom: No, I don't have money to bury my son. They said he will be buried by the government. Cremated actually. My son is not going to get a funeral, he's just going to be burnt to ashes like he was nothing.
She sat on the couch with this whole thing weighing deeply on her shoulders. Her husband's family won't even try helping, they last communicated with her when her husband was still alive. After that, they never bothered themselves. She is suffering alone with her children.

Avela is at her apartment with her boyfriend, Mbuso. She hasn't been okay since her last chat with her mother. She doesn't understand why she just won't report that man.
Mbuso:It will be fine my love, don't stress.
He says rubbing her arms gently, they have been together for quite a while. Mbuso came into her life when she almost sunk into depression because of her rape saga but he was with her the entire time, not even once did he look at her differently because she was raped. His eyes always spark with the love he has for her.
Avela:I think I should just go there and take my sisters and live with them here.
Mbuso:Do you really think that's a good idea?
Avela:I don't know babe but I don't want what happened to me to happen to my sisters. I was their age when he started molesting me.
Mbuso:I will go with you then.
Avela:There is no need for that Mbuso.
Mbuso:I am going with you Avela. I don't want you alone with that man, I don't trust him. We will go tomorrow.
Avela kept quiet because she could tell how serious he was.

Yabatha dropped the gun immediately realising what he has done. He put his hands over his mouth while John laid on the floor bleeding. He didn't mean to shoot him, he wanted to shoot himself not John. But he saw himself aiming at him. John grunted on the floor with his wounded leg.
John:Stop crying and take me to the damn hospital before I bleed to death!
Yabatha took the car keys and lifted him , he put John's arm over his shoulders and dragged him to the car. He put him inside and started the car driving to the hospital. Luckily he knows how to drive.
He was attended to quickly and he sat on the hospital benches quivering, he can't believe he shot someone. He was called over to the reception to fill in John's details.
"Are you in any way related to the patient?"
Yabatha: No. I'm just his garden boy. His wife is Emma Green.
"Okay sir thank you. I will try getting her on the phone."
Yabatha nodded and quickly went out of the hospital, he is surely going to be arrested for this.

Zimbili is at the police station and he has asked to speak with Detective Ndebele, he is well known for doing his job properly. He is the only one he will trust with this information she has, she was smart enough to back up the recording in her mother's and father's phone without them knowing. She watches movies, she knows if John finds out about this he's going to try and destroy the recording. The officer led her to the detective's office. They exchanged greetings and Zimbili sat down at the chair.
Ndebele:So what can I help you with Ms Zimbili?
Zimbili:I am here with valuable information that could take my life.
Ndebele leaned towards the table.
Ndebele:What do you mean? Talk to me.
Zimbili:I believe someone molested my boyfriend and killed his brother when he ran away.
Ndebele:Who is that? And can you back up your statement?
Zimbili:That man is John Green.
Zimbili looked at the officer.
Zimbili:Can he leave?
Ndebele signalled for the officer to leave and he left, when he was outside he took his phone and sent a message.
Zimbili:Detective I came to you because I trust you with my life. I have heard how dangerous this man is. Promise me you will protect me and my family because I fear he will come after us.
Ndebele:I promise you, I take my job very seriously. Green has been involved in multiple cases but was let go because of either vanishing evidence or the witnesses disappearing.
Zimbili took her phone and played the recording for him.
Ndebele:This is enough to put him away for good, he admitted it. I hope he won't get away with it this time. Where is this Yabatha?
Zimbili:He took him back to Durban.
Ndebele:Okay don't worry. Your family is in safe hands.
Zimbili thanked him and said goodbye and left. Ndebele remained with the recording and started making phone calls to necessary people, he needs people whom he can trust on this case.
