LIFE IMAGINED
FINAL CHAPTER

The driver reached his destination and there was Green standing outside with an army waiting for them. Yabatha & Zimbili looked at each other and nodded. John opened the car doors and dragged Yabatha out. He gave him a punch followed by a slap and another and another.
John: You burnt my family! You son of a bitch!!!
He held him by his t-shirt and punched him again and dropped him on the ground. He stepped on him on his neck with his pointy shoe. Yabatha kicked his feet trying to break free as he was losing breath..Zimbili got out from the car holding the gun and just fired multiple shots at John with her eyes closed, she was brought back to life by a hot sensation that landed on her stomach. She dropped the gun and held her stomach. She has been shot, she realised. Blood flowed quickly and she tried holding it with her hands but she was losing strength. Everything moved in slow motion as she fell to the ground. She lay besides Yabatha who was just as lifeless as John and tried to talk but she choked on her own blood. She tried to touch Yabatha but one of John's guys went to her and finished her off with a shot on her forehead. Zimbili's eyes remained wide opened and the guy who shot her closed her eyes. They looked at the three bodies on the ground not knowing what to do. Three cars pulled up on the scene, and police came out circling them. Ndebele was the one leading the troop,he wanted to leave Andrew go to Mpumalanga but he couldn't. He walked over to the bodies and closed his eyes feeling guilty. Yabatha's body was covered in bullet holes, and his neck was snapped. He looked at Zimbili and she had a gunshot at her forehead and bleeding from her stomach. He tried her pulse feeling it but none, he was just taking his chance. He looked at John and he had only one gunshot wound, close to his chest. He was breathing a little, paramedics were called and they rushed to give him medical help.
Ndebele:The law failed these two. They are dead because we couldn't help them. This should not happen again, if Green survives he should just be given a death sentence. He has caused too much pain for a lot of people.
He bit his lower lip looking at Yabatha & Zimbili's body and let out a tear, he blames himself for neglecting them. If they were with him they would have been protected from John...

Mamdluli takes her belongings and walks out. She was let out due to good behaviour, it surprised her because it hasn't even been a year locked up; but she won't ask any more questions. First thing she does is go and see Mkondi where he is locked up. She waits for him in the visitor's side and he appears a minute later. He smiles seeing his wife, the only good thing he sees after so long.
Mkondi: Mamdluli.
Mamdluli:How are you?
Mkondi:Not good at all mama. Prison life isn't good for me and I fear I will die in here. Life imprisonment on its own is a typical death sentence and mine is doubled.
Mamdluli:They let me go.
Mkondi:So early?
Mamdluli:For good behaviour, but I still have to pay the fine.
Mkondi: It's a good thing you are out mama. Then you can find ways to get me out of here. I can't be here anymore, I have turned into a woman.
Mamdluli:I'm not going to do anything Mkondi, if anything I am glad you are in here. I shouldn't have even sided with you in the first place, I should have protected my daughters. I regret ever marrying you, my family warned me about you but I was too stubborn and didn't listen to them. Look where I am now, look where my stubbornness has landed me. You deserve to be in here, and I hope you rot in jail.
She stands up and walks away while Mkondi is calling her to come back but she doesn't turn back. She walks to the taxi rank and takes a taxi back home. She arrives at her house and it is so quiet. She misses her children so much, she wishes to talk to Avela and apologize for everything. She was wrong and she is willing to do whatever it takes to earn her daughters' forgiveness.

Ndebele:But he will wake up?
Doc:We don't know because we are prepping him for surgery but it looks promising.
Ndebele:Okay doc please let me know if he wakes up. Death will be too easy for him.

TWO MONTHS LATER"Mr John Green you are convicted to five life imprisonments, with no chance of applying for parole. All your assets and belongings will be repossessed by the court of law for the purpose of charity work. You will be imprisoned in confinement, no visitors allowed for you. And you shall not see the light of the sun for the rest of your sentence", the judge says. John looks down and just cries, after everything he has done it all comes down to this, he has escaped too many times but this time he couldn't. He didn't mourn his family and he is now thrown in jail, and he is going to serve his sentence alone. The officer cuffs him and he looks at Ndebele who was smiling, finally the bastard is caught.
He hopes everyone he has ever wronged forgives him, all the children he has molested, Yabatha, Zimbili's family. He deserves jail, he has hurt a lot if people. He goes down the box ready to be taken in.

Zesulwa:F** You. Man I just had the weirdest imagination.
Yabatha rolled his eyes, he knew it was one of his imaginations. He has a very strange imagination.
Yabatha:And what were you this time?
Zesulwa:I was a mute. This one was pretty weird man, in fact I think this was my last imagination. It freaked me out.
Yabatha: You? A mute? Well that's a first.
