LIFE IMAGINED

17

Tukelo jumps through the window and sneak to the bed, he shakes her softly. She moves a little but doesn't wake up. Tukelo shakes her again but she just let us a sleepy sound, Tukelo looks around the room and it is dark. He carefully removes her from the bed and carry her in a bridal style fashion, she is dead asleep. He leans over the window and carefully places her on the ground. Just as he was about to jump out the door opened and his heart skipped, he looked frightened. He quickly jumped outside and fell on the ground. He picked Zethembiso and ran to his car, he put him on the backseat and got to the driver's side. Zethembiso woke up when she felt that she wasn't in bed anymore. She rubbed her eyes confused.
Zethembiso: Tukelo... What is going on?
Tukelo looked back at her while driving.
Tukelo:Oh you are awake?
Zethembiso: What's going on?
Tukelo:I couldn't sleep at night knowing that you are not okay, I told you I will fix this.
Zethembiso:But Frank will find us, please take me back. He said he will kill my sister if I run away.
Tukelo:Shhh don't worry Zethe. Even if he finds you, he won't do anything to you. I will protect you.
Zethe sits back shaken, she is kind of happy that Tukelo rescued her from that place, she almost lost her sanity. Tukelo drives to a different place, not his house. He helps her get out of the car and they go inside.
Zethembiso:Is this your other house?
Tukelo:Yes we will stay here for a while, so that Frank won't find us.
Zethembiso: What about my sister? He will kill her.
She whispered the last part, Tukelo sighed not knowing what to say. Zanesipho is as good as dead, one unhook of the pipes connected to her and she will die; but he doesn't want to finish off the little hope she has.

Ndebele:Did you talk to her?
Mzobe:Yes I did, she is on her way right now. Don't worry, Green is going back to jail. Judge Nzimande is a no nonsense lady, she just gave a rapist double life imprisonment & five years to someone who lied and kept that rapist.
Ndebele:She sounds feisty.
Mzobe:She is, justice will prevail.
Ndebele:I hope so because the last judge, Green managed to bribe him. He has gotten away with almost everything.
A while later Judge  Nzimande graces them with her presence. You can tell that she knows exactly what she wants in life, it's those type of people who have everything planned out. She sits down and greets them.
Nzimande:So detectives why did you call me here?
Ndebele:I'm from Mpumalanga, I am here on a case brought to me by a girl named Zimbili. She said she had a recording of John Green admitting to have killed her boyfriend's brother and molested him. But he found out that we were on to him and we think he had Zimbili's parents killed en route to witness protection. We arrested John but he was let go because the judge said the evidence was not enough. And now the boyfriend, Yabatha is no where to be found. He has been missing for two months. You are my last hope, that man has too many cases that were dropped due to vanishing evidence or the witnesses disappearing.
Nzimande:I hear you, I see what we are dealing with here. Where is the boyfriend's family?
Ndebele:I had them put in hiding, no one knows except for me and Zimbili.
Nzimande:And where is Zimbili?
Ndebele:She is living with me for now. Green is looking for her.
Nzimande:Okay, gentlemen don't worry. We will catch him. I will call you when I have everything in order. We need to put him straight to trial.
Ndebele nodded and felt some sort of weight being lifted off his shoulders, he hopes Green will be arrested this time. Nzimande says her goodbyes and leaves them. She goes to her car and get inside. She takes her phone and calls someone
"Yes"
Nzimande:The girl is with the detective.
"Are you sure?"
Nzimande:Yes, I am sure.
"Okay thank you".
She drops the call and looks at herself in the mirror. She laughs and shakes her head.
She touches her face and takes off the prosthetic facemask, revealing her manly self. He laughs once again.
"I really had them fooled, didn't I?", he says imitating Judge Nzimande's voice.
He is the best in the game, no one will ever suspect a thing.

Mamdluli is sitting in the corner crying, regretting ever siding with Mkondi. Her children & Zesulwa surely hates her now more than ever, she wasn't a good mother. She should have protected her children from the monster she married to. Five years is a long time and they said they would add another five years should she not pay the R15 000 fine, where will she get that kind of money?

Avela is settling in at her new apartment with her sisters. Her previous apartment couldn't fit them all, she won't let anything happen to them again. Mbuso is also supportive, she is thankful for him because she can't abandon her sisters since their parents are both in jail.

Nozipho:I'm so blessed to have you as my child Mbongeni, you have completely turned your life around. You didn't allow your age to stop you. God bless you.
Mbongeni: Everything I do is for you mama.
Nozipho:Thank you.... Where is your girlfriend by the way?
Mbongeni:Ahhh! She left five months ago to Durban, she dumped me. I realised that she never loved me. I have forgotten about her and moved on.
Nozipho smiled hearing her son say that.
Nozipho: I'm glad you realised that she was not good for you. If a person loves you she will stand with you through thick and thin.

Yabatha pushes off the only chain that was holding him with his  feet. Finally he has set himself free, now he needs to get out of here. He has been trying to free himself for days. He drags himself towards the door and looks through the keyhole to see if there's no one outside. After he sees no one he opens the door but it is locked, he sighs and looks for something he can use. He sees a screwdriver and picks it up. He  tries opening with it, luckily it opened. He looked around one more time and got out, when he was outside he started running. He doesn't know where he is going but he ran for his life, he needs to find her first.

John:I will see you tomorrow then.
He kissed him and spanks his butt. He laughs from the bed and wraps himself with the sheet.
John gives him a few hundred notes and leaves. He calls someone.
John:Did you find her?
"We are only arriving now."
John:Okay let me know when it is done.
He drops the call and smiles, finally things are looking up. He drives to his house and Emma is in the kitchen cooking.
John:Hi.
Emma:Hi.
John:Are the kids home?
Emma:Yes.
John:How was your day?
Emma:Fine.
John:Okay what is going on?
Emma kept quiet and continued with her cooking.
John:Emma I'm talking to you.
Emma leaves the kitchen and goes to the bedroom, leaving him wondering why she is ignoring him.

At Ndebele's place.
Two guys step out of the car with their guns .
"You go to the back and I will get in the front".
The other guy nods.
He walks to the house and fiddles with the door lock. He opens it slowly to not make noise and tiptoes into the house. It is  silence, way too silence. He continues tiptoeing around looking for Zimbili but finds nothing. Kitchen, rooms, bathroom. There is nothing. He goes back outside to the back.
"Did you find her?"
"No, there's no one here".
"But he said she is here".
"Well I don't know but there's no one here".
"Let's leave".
They walk back to the car and drive away.
Meanwhile in the house, Zimbili and Yabatha crawl out from the trapdoor. They almost suffocated to death, it was too small for the two of them. They look at each other with their hearts pounding.
