Two days later...
'To dial or not to dial...' I tap the phone on my palm in agitation. 'Why I'm I debating this? I should just call him and ask if he knows Osana Najimi. Nothing serious right?'
With that, I dial his number and wait.
"Hello?" asked a male voice.
"Hello? Is this Kyuji Konagawa?"
"Yes? Who is this?"
I paused for a moment, biting my bottom lip. "Good evening sir. Please I want to talk to you about Osana Najimi..."
Click!
I stare at my phone in shock and dial the number again and he picked it up. "Sir I...
"I don't know what you are up to Raibaru but cut the act! I mean it! If you call me again, I am going to get a restraining order against you understand?"
"What?"
"I am not the cause of Osana's death okay? So leave me alone!"
Click.
I stare at my phone in shock. Ms. Fumetsu was harassing this guy?
"Maybe that's why she had so much hatred in her voice when she talked about him." I muse out loud. Dropping my phone next to me, I let out a huge sigh. "Looks like I have to track him down to get answers from him."
It takes 24 hours from here to Tokyo City so I buy a plane ticket and spend the rest of the day preparing for the trip tomorrow. Early in the morning the next day, I was dragging my hand luggage through the living room and was just about to open the front door when someone knocked on it. Peeking through the peephole, I see Julia and open it.
"Hi Emma." she greeted cheerfully.
I ignore her and shut the door behind me.
"Where are you going?" she asks and frowns when I give her the cold shoulder. "I asked you a question you b!tch!"
"It's none of your business Julia," I reply locking the door and hauling my hand luggage down the stairs.
"I make it my business because I am your neighbor and I live next to you!" she yells. "Emma? Don't you dare ignore me! Emma! Get back here! EMMA!"
She tries to stop me from putting my hand luggage into the taxi but I shrug her off and get in. Failing in with that action, she tries to stop me from entering the taxi but I push her out of my way, get in and lock the doors.
She huffs and hurries back to her room.
"Step on it!" I say.
"Where to ma'am?" asks the driver.
We hear a crash and see something being tossed out of Julia's room. "Tomake Airport!" I slip the money into his hands. "Step on it or she will wreck your car!"
No one needed to tell him twice. Stomping his foot on the accelerator, we zoomed off down the street and looking back, I see Julia rushing down the stairs with her hand luggage and sigh at her stupidity.
Honestly, what was that girl thinking?
Luckily, I get to the airport in time. It takes a few minutes to go show them my ticket and go through the security checks. Now I am sitting in the airport terminal looking at the huge window facing the runway.
"Relax he won't find you here," I whispered to myself. "He doesn't know you are here."
'What if you are wrong?'
I shake the voice out of my head and concentrate on the people bustling about. Then my mind traveled back to Caleb and his father Moon. It was three days after the incident and I took them to my apartment to stay for the time being. How he did do it? I will never know but one night he disappeared and reappeared the next morning with their things and credentials saying they had to leave because he didn't want the rest of his wife's family to find them.
