Chapter 26

-3 years ago flash back-
"Athena? He's here!" Brianna says. "Holy crap he's following me!" I say and is about to panic. We are at the mall. "Its okay come on!" She says and grabs my hand. We start running as fast as we can to the exit. "Brianna wait this way!" I say and we start running down into a forest of trees.

"Athena stop," Bri says. We stop and we can hear the feet of him a few yards away. "Hurry!" I say and we run up a huge hill with him still following and we hide behind a rock. "Oh Athena? It's been too long," His voice says making me shake. "You run when I stand up," I whisper to her.

"No Athena!" She whispers back. "I know your hiding, why are you scared of me?" He asks snickering. "Now!" I whisper and I stand up from behind the rock. Brianna dashes away from me and I look at the monster. "Saving your friend but not yourself? Pathetic!" Cameron says grabbing my wrist.

"No one can hear you scream this far away!" He says laughing. "Let me go!" I say struggling against his grasp but not able to break it. "No!" He shouts and slaps me across the face. "Stop it let go!" I say but he pins me against the rock. "Why would I?" Cameron says and then kisses my lips as I try to break free from him.

"Now..." He says and I can't remember passed that.

-present time-
"Who is?" Bethany asks and we start running through the trees. "Athena you better tell us?!?!" Kat says. "James was, he was outside of the yogurt place," I say and the memory flashes once more.

"Oh god who's James?" Kat asks. "Ex boyfriend," Bethany says. "He's following us?" Kat asks. "Yup. You guys continue running back to the house. If I have to I will beat him up," I say stopping and they both hesitate. They trust me though, they continue running.

I cross my arms as James appears. "Oh god Athena, sorry I followed you," he says. "What do you want?" I ask. "I know I've been not accepted by you but I wanted to apologize to Bethany, even if we don't date I'm not a bad person I've just had something with my friends and now my life is upside down," he says.

"Yeah okay, I'm not apologizing for running though. Just some memories brought up," I say. "Well hey I won't bother you anymore, just wanted to apologize because I feel horrible as it is, bye!" He says walking away. That's it? That's all he wanted to say! Or is that all he wanted to say to me?

I turn away and start walking as a shiver travels up my spine. A bad feeling, as if someone if still here. I turn around all different ways but nothing is here. I start to panic and run down. Whatever I feel is staying right with me. I can't shake it off no matter what I do. I run pass many trees but it's still there, even when I break out from the forest and at the lake.

I know what that was because its traveled through my body to my hands and feet and brain. Every nerve tenses up and then a pain shoots through all of them. I scream and fall to the ground. I start shaking uncontrollably and having hot-cold flashes. I can't catch my breathe. My lungs don't wanna work. Am I dying?! AM I DYING?!?!

The pain gets a little worse and I can't feel any of my limbs. IM DYING! I NEED TO BREATHE! Something happens and someone runs over to me but the world is spinning. "Athena!" Bethany says and rushes to my side. "Wait I'm a nurse," Kat says coming next to me.

"Athena can you breathe?" She asks and I lightly shake my head. "Okay your shaking and you look dizzy. Can you feel your feet or hands?" Kat asks and I shake my head again. "Well we heard you scream so right here must be hurting. All symptoms us a panic attack. It'll pass in a sec,"she confirms.

Suddenly I'm fine, except still shaking a little. "Oh gosh why did she have a panic attack?" Bethany asks hugging me. "Well Athena did you have any fear?" Kat asks. "No not at all," I lye. "Athena? Are you sure?" Bethany asks. "Yup! Totally! Yes! True! YAS!" I say and I feel like I'm jumpy but I'm still shaking.

"Athena your acting weird," Bethany says. "No I'm not why would you say that?" I ask playing with my hands. "Athena let's take you home," Bethany says but then I don't move as I look at my hands. "My ring!" I say standing up. "What you lost it?!" Kat asks. "No my ring was on my hand but I fell to the ground."

I look around at the ground but I can't see anything. "Where is it?!" I say panicking a little. "Athena come down its right here!" Bethany says sliding it on my finger. "Oh gosh today has been the worst," I say as we walk back to my house.

"Kat you can come in, I'm not a crazy murderer! Can't say the same about Athena though," Bethany says as Kat hesitates to come inside. "Anyone here!" I shout. "We all are!" Jordan shout as we walk into the living room. "Hello we brought friend!" Bethany says and everyone is sitting in a circle.

"Kat this is Jordan, David, Issac, Cierra, and Marzie! Everyone this is Kat!" I say. "Hia!" Kat says. "Hey!" Jordan says as I sit next to him and Cierra. Kat and Bethany take a seat next to Issac. "So why are you doing a meeting?" I ask. "Because, your birthdays coming up," Jordan says.
