First of all the entire characters aside from Emma Ives belongs to the right owners, Duffer Brothers.
The storyline happens during season 3 and 4. Emma Ives is best friends with Billy. They've been best friends since they were 8. But as Billy's dad got married they were obligated to move from California to Hawkins, Indiana. One year has gone since Emma last saw Billy and Max. So one day she decides it's time for her to go and pay a visit to her old best friend, Billy.
But Hawkins is nothing what it seems. She of course knows the haunting secrets of Hawkins. Max has kept her on track telling her everything.
