I held his hand. "So, what are we going to do today?" I asked him, as we walked around the neighborhood.

He had a bag in his other hand and lifted it up with a smile on his face. I smiled. Charlie and I walked to the front entrance of our neighborhood. We sat on the grass and gingerly pulled the letters out of the bag, setting them on the grass. It took a few years to get permission and fix the wall. We got our drill out and started drilling the letters into the repaired brick wall. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

I handed him the first letter, the P. He drilled the screw in and the letter was there, looing like it wouldn't go anywhere. I handed him more letters and he drilled them in. I kissed the last letter, which was now covered in pink lipstick. I handed it to him, and it was then drilled in the wall a few minutes later. We looked at each other and nodded.

Just a few years ago, we were high-fiving, happy we had this project, and now we were here, completing it. I leaned closer to him and placed my lips on his. It was our first kiss. I had this moment planned in my head for months, but it was better than I could ever daydream. I never wanted to kiss anyone else besides him. He pulled away from me with a twinkle in his eye and then gave me a tight hug. "I love you, baby," he whispered.

My eyes were welling with tears and I held on tightly. After a few emotional moments I pulled away and took the picture out of my pocket. I looked at the photo, then the wall, and gave Charlie a big thumbs up. I couldn't believe I went through so much with him, and it felt like he would never leave me.

Leslie moved away a few years ago, and the new family is yet to discover the musical talent within the house, and soon their souls. I was waiting for when the time was right, when I was going to tell them my own story. Lisa was still with me, and we were still best friends. We were all now sixteen years old, discovering more things in our lives, and waiting for them to begin.

Charlie and I left the wall, ready for the people of today to discover our name. We walked down the street towards my house, putting his arm around my shoulder, knowing that we were the people of Preston Greens, and that we would never forget it.
