"Ms. Martinez your two o'clock is here," Aubrey says
I look away from my computer screen and tell her "Okay, Tell them I'll be right in with them."
"Yes, Ms. Martinez"
I grab my MacBook, my notebook, and a pen and I head to the meeting room.
Once I get to the meeting room, I open the door and see someone who I have not seen for a year now someone that I hoped I would never see again. I see Lilliana's dad.
What the fuck is he doing here? I told him a year ago to never come back here.
"What are you doing here Jonathan?"
"Well, I'm your two o'clock."
"Obviously but what's the purpose of this meeting?"
"Why don't you sit down and find out." I do what he says and sit down.
"Start talking Johnathan."
He puts his hands up and says "Okay Okay"
"I want full custody of Lilliana."
I start laughing as if it's the funniest thing I've ever heard.
I stop laughing when I see he's serious.
"Oh, you're serious."

"Why do you want custody of her now you've had four years to be a father figure to her why now?"
"I want the chance to get to know her. I have the right to get to know her, Rosie."
"You do have the right to get to know I agree but you've also had the chance for four years to get to know her and you've never tried once since she was born so what is the real reason you what custody of her."
"I just want to be in my daughter's life."
"You expect me to believe that well I don't, and the answer is no. I'm not going to give you custody of Lilliana."
"Come on Rosie, you can't stop me from seeing my kid."
"Watch me. You've never taken an interest in your daughter you've never asked to see her you weren't there when she was born you didn't change her diapers you didn't feed her you didn't take her to school you didn't even help pay for anything when it came to her so the answer is no you will never get custody for her, she is my child, not yours not ours because you didn't do anything. He gets up and leaves without a backward glance.
As soon as he leaves, I break down crying because the thought of him taking my daughter away from me is just too much to bare.
