Chapter 4 - understanding

Haewon pov

"WHAT??"

"Haewon, please calm down.."

"HEESEUNG, OUT OF EVERYONE YOU KNOW,WHY DID YOU CALL HIM?"

"He's not the asshole you think he is Haewon.."

"Heeseung he dropped me as soon as I told him I got a boyfriend. He wasn't there when I needed him the most. call him and tell him to go the fuck back home."

"Haewon stop. Do you really even know what's been going on with him?"

"what are you talking about..?"

"It's not for me to say, but I'll tell you this. For the past 6 months, he's been asking me every day how you've been doing, if you've been eating well, if you are really as happy as you make yourself seem online, he's been taking care of you from the backseat this whole time so please give him a chance will you?"

"..."

"Thank you, just hear him out."

And just as I was about to respond, Sunoo rushed into my room, panic written all over his face as he scans me looking for bruises or any sort of injury only to find my tear stained face as I sat hugging my knees in the corner of my bed, closing myself from him and heeseung.

"Haewon... are you okay? what's wrong? I've been so worried about you" he says, so quickly his words begin to sound slurred.

"Why did you stop talking to me all of a sudden... I missed you so much.." more tears begin to flow down my face, but not tears of sadness, instead tears of relief as I finally felt whole again.

"I'll leave you two for now.Call me if you need anything, I'll be downstairs." Heeseung says as he leaves us in my room alone.

"I'm so sorry sweetheart, I had to otherwise Hyun-" Sunoo suddenly stops mid sentence, as regret filled his expression.

" Was it because of Hyun...? Was he the reason you stopped talking to me?"I begin to raise my voice.

Silence fills the room.

"Sunoo, I asked you a question. Was it Hyuns doing?" I asked with a softer tone.

"I... He...you.. you weren't supposed to know that... I wasn't supposed to say that...lookimnottryingtobreakyouguysupbuthetoldmetogetawayfromyouorhewouldhurtyouandiloveyoutoomuchtolethimdothattoyouformyselfishdesuresso-"

"Sunoo,stop" I interrupt him as he stares at me worried.

"Take a deep breath, I can't understand what you're saying honey"

Sunoo's face begins to turn red as he looks at me, taking deep breaths as I asked him to before telling me what he wanted to say.

"After you guys started dating and you  introduce me to him.. he told me to stay away from you otherwise he would hurt you and I didn't want to be selfish and I thought I could indirectly take care of you, which I did.. but you thought I got tired of you ..." He says with an ashamed expression, his eyes starting to become glossy as tears began to form in his eyes.

"That fucking bastard.." I say through my teeth

"Did I do something wrong?" Sunoo asks worried, an apologetic expression already plastered on his face.

"No Sunoo, don't worry. Do you know why Heeseung called you over today?"

"No..? I didn't give him time to explain I just rushed over.."

I pull out my phone and show him the messages I was sent in the group chat I had with my friends. Well, ex-friends.

"he.did.what?"Sunoo says, his face red with rage.

"That asshole took you away from me to do this? Who the fuck does he think he is?"

Overwhelmed with emotion, Sunoo runs out the house after a short goodbye and tells me to text him later as he had a plan on how to get back on my boyfriend...sorry, ex-boyfriend.
