Chapter 6 - confrontation

"Wait, so you've liked me this entire time..?" Haewon asks, shocked she wasn't aware of her first love liking her back.

"Yeah..sorry for telling you so late.." Sunoo responds, embarrassed and a little regretful of telling his crush about his feelings.

"I wish I knew... then I would've told you this sooner.." Haewon confesses

"told me what?"

"I've loved you since the day we met...I just didn't tell you because I didn't think you were interested in me, I only started dating Hyun because I thought I had moved on from you but the moment you came to my house earlier today, my feelings came flooding back.." Haewon finally releases her feelings after hiding them for so long, feeling almost as if a weight had been lifted off her chest.

Sunoo smirks, quickly kissing her on the lips before losing control of himself as he pulls her inside the party behind him. Taking her directly to the center of the party, where everyone was dancing along to the music. He spots Hyun with another girl, just as he had planned and pulls Haewon closer to him while making eye contact with Hyun.

He whispers to Haewon what he was about to do, asking for her permission before following along with his plan. As she nods her head with consent, he makes sure Hyun watches as he slides off Haewons leather jacket, revealing her bare shoulders and collarbone as he plants kisses down her neck making his way up to her lips. Making sure he doesn't do anything inappropriate with her as to protect her, he pulls Haewon into his chest after kissing her, whispering kind words to her as to calm her down as he was aware of how anxiety inducing the situation was. As he looks up, he finds Hyun making his way over to them.

Sunoo pulls Haewon behind him, helps her put her jacket back on and holds her hand, preparing for the confrontation that was about to happen. People begin to take their phones out to record what was happening, so Sunoo quickly hides Haewon behind him in a way her face wouldn't be shown on camera.

As Hyun makes his way closer to them, Sunoo holds onto Haewons hand a little tighter, his thumb caressing over her hand in an attempt to calm her down.

"What the fuck did I tell you about getting near my girl" Hyun growled lowly, trying to intimidate Sunoo.

"Your girl?" Sunoo chuckled "You lost the privilege of calling her 'your girl' the moment you laid your hands on another woman."

"Stop making shit up and let go of her" Hyun says, trying to change the topic.

"oh so all of a sudden you don't remember cheating on her asshole" Sunoo says, quickly losing his patience.

"let go of her"

"No."

"I said let.go."

"and I said no."

Hyun tries to grab Haewon's hand out of Sunoo's grip, but Sunoo quickly moves their hands away.

"Why don't we let Haewon choose who she'd rather be with, hm?" Sunoo suggests, not believing how stupid Hyun was being.

"If that'll knock it into your head that she doesn't want you, then yeah sure."

Sunoo let go of Haewon's hand, but she quickly runs to hug him trying to protect herself from Hyun, afraid her might try to grab her.

"You'll be alright princess, just show him you're over him and I'll send everyone home, okay?" Sunoo whispers to her as he caresses her back.

Haewon nods and stands in-between the two men, not sparing a glance at Hyun. As soon as Sunoo gave her the signal to go to whoever she chose, she ran into his arms, glad to finally feel safe next to him again.

Hyun scoffs and stomps his way to the front door, turning around right before leaving, uttering random curses and slurs before leaving.

Sunoo soon sends everyone at the party home, giving Haewon some of his clothes she could change into to spend the night at his house after finally getting rid of the pest that was Hyun.
