The next night, everyone had gathered over at Diluc's shared apartment with Albedo for drinks, pizza, and wings. Music played low in the background in stark contrast to the chaos that was going on due to everyone playing Uno.

"You can't do that!" Chongyun huffed, his icy blue eyes narrowing as he pointed accusingly at Albedo's stack of 3's. "One card at a time!" "It'll take us forever to play just one card at a time." Beidou countered. "But those are the rules!" Chongyun exclaimed. "I'm not gonna lie... fuck one card at a time." You chimed in, much to Chongyun's displeasure. "I think we should play by the rules. Besides, it's not like we're going anywhere." Ningguang shrugged and Albedo finally took back some of his 3's. "Fine."

This was only the second round yet Diluc still refused to join in, invested in something on his phone. You frowned at the expression on his face. He seemed to be deep in his thoughts and not good ones. "Diluc," you murmured, grasping his attention immediately, "want a drink? Or anything else to eat?" You offered, but he shook his head. "No no, I'm fine. Thanks."

"Yeah, Lumine, he's fine. Leave the loser alone and focus on us," Beidou motioned between you and her, "we're a team and if one of us loses, we both lose - and I'm not trying to have a hangover tomorrow."

"Wow, shocker." Albedo's voice dripped with sarcasm, his bracelet clanging on the table as he put down another card.

"I have a double shift tomorrow. I know when to get shitfaced and when not to." Beidou stuck up her middle finger at him. "Although maybe it would be better to get alcohol poisoning." She added as an afterthought. You squinted your eyes. "Beidou... please don't intentionally poison yourself to get out of work."

"Ugh... fine."

"Be back." Diluc announced, shocking everyone into a momentary silence as you all watched him go further into the house. "Wonder what's got his panties in a knot?" Beidou muttered.

"Stop worrying about him and worry about me. All 4 of you are about to be taking 2 shots each." Albedo flexes the fact that he only had to cards left and everyone gasped. "If I win again by myself, all of you are giving me 500 mora for being stupid."

"Fuck you and pick up 4, Goldilocks," Beidou said cockily. You were after her and she knew you had a +4, so you said, "make that 8," and put your card down as well.

"Fuck me." Albedo exhaled. "Imagine having to owe everyone else 500 mora for being stupid... couldn't be me." Ningguang smirked. The game went on for a while with everyone losing and getting cards, no one coming closer than the other to winning because everyone started actually trying to strategize. When you realized Diluc hadn't made it back yet, you told Beidou to play for you while you went to make sure he was okay.

You passed the bathroom and Albedo's room before slowing your steps. The light in Diluc's room was on and you could hear quiet noises from there.

Diluc's room was extremely simple; a bed, a dresser, a desk, a carpet in the middle of the floor... and that was it. He didn't even have a TV in there. His bed was immaculately made and his dresser was neatly organized with his watches and rings. There wasn't a single piece of clothing or any shoes in sight. Currently, he was standing up at his desk, hunched over it as one hand gripped it while the other scrolled with his mouse as he gazed at the computer. He'd taken his jacket off and your eyes widened in pleasant surprise. His arms were so... toned and - was that a scar running up his left arm behind his elbow?

He was so focused you almost didn't want to interrupt him. But you went against yourself anyway.

"Diluc?"

He turned around to look at you and straightened up instantly. "Is everything okay? Do you want us to leave or... quiet down or anything?" You asked hesitantly, standing at his doorway, not daring to step in. He lifted a hand to scratch at his head before he sighed and shook his head, a small smile gracing his face. "No, you guys are fine. I'm fine I just -" he motioned to his laptop, "work stuff. It's - I forgot -" his phone chimed and he groaned as he turned back around to begin typing. "My brother forgot to do something so I'm cleaning up his mess." You noticed he had another scar on his other arm that looked like he'd been burned at one point.
