"I've missed you" Ben Hargreeves x reader: (Umbrella academy)

Chapter 4: The Park

After the fight . . .

Third POV:
Aches and groans could be heard from everyone after their fight with the sparrows, they were all sitting down tired at the park benches.

"Just gonna sit. I'm just gonna sit for a minute." Luther said groaning.

"That didn't go well." Diego suddenly spoke.

"No, not our best work," Five said sitting on the picnic table.

Klaus was lying down on a picnic table, joint cracking could be heard from him. "Oh, I'm cracking."

Allison looked at Luther, seeing him spaced out "You all right?" She asked.

"I don't know yet," Luther responded. "I've just never had my ass handed to me like that before. He confessed. "It's like...Here you go, it's your ass."

Allison just looked at Luther for a moment then turned her head to the others "Okay, I think Luther's concussed." She said.

"Luther, how many fingers?" Klaus asked holding up three fingers for him to answer.

"Oh my God! Vanya and Y/n." Luther said in realization.

"Oh. Thank God you're alive." They turned around to see Vanya leaning onto Y/n for support.

"You guys okay?" Allison asked.

"Apparently, so is Ben," Klaus stated.

"Yeah. And he's a complete dickhead." Y/n said, not liking how the way Ben was acting. Receiving a sympathetic look from Klaus, but she wasn't gonna lie to herself though, the new Ben is kinda hot.

"They're all dickheads." Diego said.

"Dickheads who can fight," Luther said.

"Okay, the next person to say dickhead is getting a punch to the throat." Five dared.

"Dickhead, Dickhead, Dickhead, Dickhead, Dickhead." Everyone said.

"Hey did dad tell you why he was calling them his kids?" Diego asked Klaus

"He sure did! You ready?" Klaus said as everyone looked at him. "Dad was so repulsed by us back in Texas, that he adopted an entirely different group of children just so that he didn't have to raise us," Klaus answered.

"Well, that's just peak Dad, huh? Diego said.
"Isn't it?" Everyone was taking in the information they received.

"So he just didn't want us anymore? Vanya said.

"Did he ever?" Allison stated.

"See? I told you we shouldn't have asked him for help in '63." Luther said.

"I think you're all missing the big picture here. If Dad didn't adopt us as kids, he changed the timeline. So who knows what else is different now." Five explained.

"Shouldn't you two know?" Allison asked, referring to Y/n and Five.

"Sorry, Allison, but it might take us more than 20 minutes and a traumatic brain injury to figure this all out. Five answered.

"Is that OK with you?" He asked. "No, actually, it's not." She said.

"But that doesn't explain why I'm part of this timeline with my supposedly other friends, in the original timeline Mr. Hargreeves took me in to join the academy late after my parents died when I was 7 years old, so why did the old man still adopt me after being disgusting by us!?" Y/n questioned and that got everyone thinking that too.

"That's a very good question. Klaus, why did Dad still adopt Y/n but not us." Five asked as everyone looked at Klaus for an answer.

"Because he was so awed by her powers that he decided to keep her but not us," Klaus said.

"That's just low, even by his standers," Y/n commented, the other nodding in agreement.

"Besides that, this means Y/n can be our intel!!" Diego said reviving a glare from Y/n.

"What, No!? I'm not using Ben like that. He's your brother and I still care about him." Y/n stated.

"Guys, look, it's fine. We still have the commission's briefcase, so worst case, we can just go back in time and fix it." Vanya reassured.

"Great!" Klaus said.

"OK, there are two problems with that statement. Five said and both he and Y/n stand up.

"First off—Five started

"Here we go," Klaus said.

"Time travel is a complicated thing, people," Y/n said.

"Yeah, we get it. Your job is so hard. Just what!" Diego shouted.

"And secondly... I no longer have the briefcase." Five confessed.

This made Allison stand up from her seat."Five, where the hell is the briefcase?" But no response came out of Five's mouth.

(Hello readers. So I'm just going to point out that Y/n knows is extremely intelligent and knows a lot about time travel. Sorry that this chapter is short but I will update.)
