Chapter 27: Stopping the Mini Sun

Third POV: At the basement
Ben and Fei led the Umbrellas to the basement where the Kugelblitz stood in front of them. Y/n couldn't help but gape at it since she had never seen one before but it looked beautiful in her eyes.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Fei said with a smile.

"Yeah," Y/n whispered in awe.

"Oh wow," said a gaping Diego.

Lila scoffs, "That's what took Stanley."

Y/n's eyes widen at this, "Wait Stanley got Kugelblitzed?!" Lila and Diego nodded their heads in confirmation. "I'm so sorry, guys," she said in sadness.

"Along with a few other billion people," Fei mentions.

Lila looks at Fei momentarily, "Yeah, who I didn't know and don't care about."

"Right, so it's all about you," Fei remarked as Lila started to walk around the Kugelblitz.

Y/n started to get closer to it and studied the energy that was coming from it. "Since this thing is technically made out of energy, maybe I could manipulate it and suppress it from ever existing," she thought whilst observing the ball of lightning.

She was cut from her thoughts when she heard Five's voice. "All of these us are irrelevant, and these things gonna take the whole damn universe. What is it made of?"

"Micro black holes collapsing at increasingly short intervals," Sloane answers Five.

Y/n steps in, "To put it simply, it's made of compressed heat, light, or radiation, rather than compressed matter. It's energy."

"Right," said Sloane.

"So why aren't we getting sucked inside?" Five asked.

"Honestly, we don't know," Sloane shrugged. "You shouldn't exist here, and neither should this." She said, referring to us and the Kugelblitz.

"An impossibility for an impossibility, the universe is a sucker for balance," Five comments.

"Exactly! You mess with the timeline, the timeline messes with you, it's cosmic karma at its finest. The universe won't let us get away with breaking the rules without a fight." Y/n said with her spell book suddenly in her hands as she rummaged through page after page looking for something.

"Grace has been tracking the waves, the next one is due in three hours," Fei informed everyone.

"All right, so what do we do?" Asked Diego.

"We trap it." -Sloane

"Dyson Sphere?" Said Five as Y/n looked up from her book.

"Yeah." -Sloan

"That's. . . . ambitious. But if we combine our efforts, it just might work." Y/n said

Five locks eyes with Y/n, she smirks, closes her book shut, and moves up next to Five as the two stare down at Sloane. "Alright then, Confinement Factor?" Y/n places her hands on her hips.

Sloan tilts her head at the challenge, " 0.98 at peak energy flux."

"Tensile strength?" -Five

"UTS ceiling of 10,000 gigapascals."-Sloane

Diego and Luther look at each other and confusion.
