Author's Note: Hey guys! Here is Chapter Thirteen of To Be Loved By You! I am so sorry it took so long! I mentioned in the announcement before this that I had a family emergency. Everything is okay now but it was really hard to get back in this headspace after that. I am now though, so here are, back to our regularly scheduled posting!
There is some naughtiness in this chapter and I feel like I should warn you there is some light kink involved. If that's not for you, just skip to the end because IT IS IMPORTANT!
I'll let you read now!

The rain fell hard outside of her parents' bar, making it hard to see even the parking lot outside. The three friends stood huddled together inside the door, ready to leave but unwilling to go outside. Thea, on the other hand, danced between the puddles already forming. Her sandals dangled from her fingers as she smiled brightly, her hair and her clothes clinging to her skin.
Bradley wasn't sure he'd ever seen a more beautiful sight.
The last week had been a hard one for the pilot. He and the rest of the squadron had been called out to practice maneuvers at sea. It had been exhausting and exhilarating and miserable. Brad had never been so unhappy to be on a ship running in-depth maneuvers in his career and the girl dancing before him was the reason why.
He had missed her. Only talking on the phone for the better part of a week just wasn't enough.
"She's crazy," Logan muttered beside him.
Stef gently slapped his arm and scolded him, earning a pout from the taller man. "She is not. She's having fun."
It was clear that Stef was right; Thea was having fun as she splashed through the water, but Brad could understand Logan's disbelief. It wasn't exactly what he would call a light rain. A full-on storm had snuck up on them as he'd reveled in Thea's laughter inside the bar that night. This was an all-out downpour.
"Come on, guys!" Thea had turned her attention back to the door where the group found cover from the rain. When Stef and Logan made it clear they would not be joining her, she turned her attention to him. "Rooster!"
"What's up, sweetheart?" He couldn't help but smile at the coy look she gave him as she crooked a finger his way.
"You aren't scared of a little water, are you?" It was a dare, plain and simple. And he had never been one to turn down a dare.
He smiled as he ran out into the rain and gathered Thea in his arms. She giggled as her feet left the ground and her hands came to his neck. She was warm and wet against him as he spun her around. It didn't take long for the rain to soak through his clothes; his shirts and jeans clung to his skin uncomfortably, but he didn't care.
Thea found the ground again and took his hand, splashing her way through puddles with him in tow. Pulling her closer again, he twirled her and got a blush and a giggle in return. She fell against his chest, breathless and smiling. He took the opportunity to wrap an arm around her waist so he could lead her in a dance, the rain the only music they needed.
Her hand moved up his neck and across his cheek so the pad of her thumb could trace his lips. He paused their movement so he could close the distance between them. Her lips tasted like rum and rainwater and he wanted nothing more than to taste that salty water on the rest of her skin.
"Rooster." The same fluttering he always felt when she used his call sign erupted in his stomach. "Take me home."
Placing a quick kiss on her rain-drenched lips, he smiled. "Yes, ma'am."
