last night i made a temporary separate groupchat with everyone except for Eddie so i could tell them about us. i've been nervous to talk to them about it, but now that we're all friends i felt more comfortable with it.

so Eddie and i have been hanging out 

and obviously i introduced him to you guys

but i've had feelings for him for a while

steve!!!: no fucking way

and the last time we went thrifting he kissed me in the dressing room

robin <3: holy fuck??

so we've been kissing a lot and stuff 

and we almost did something but his uncle came home early

jonathan :): holy shit Rue

yeah so we're a thing now i guess

i'll tell you guys everything soon but i just wanted to tell you

nance!: honestly i knew you liked him by the way you look at him

nance!: but we're all so happy for you Ruby

i deleted the groupchat after. they were all so happy for me and i'm so grateful. i went to sleep that night with my heart full.

at noon today, i woke up to Robin calling me. my phone was ringing on my nightstand, and it woke me up abruptly. i accepted the call and held it to my ear. "Robin? what's up?" i asked, rubbing my eye with my free hand. "Rue." she said in a serious tone. i instantly got anxious. "i just drove past the trailer park." she continued. my heart was in my throat. "okay.." i replied, in a low voice. 

"i saw Chrissy Cunningham leaving Eddie's trailer." 

i couldn't feel my chest.

"what?" i said, my hand balling into a fist.

"yeah. i don't know what's going on. i'm sorry Rue."
