Seth Cohen saw her outside the Cooper house that day. It was a day like any other.
She was talking to Amanda Cooper.
She was wearing a red crop top. With cowboy boots.
But he saw her.
Her.
Always. Her.
Her.
Because she makes life poetry, she turns every bit of it into art.
She was speaking words but all he could think about was her voice.
Her hair always looked different.
Not the style. The color.
Today they were more blonde than brunette.
It had been like that the first moment he saw her too, all those years ago.
Ryan came from behind him and asked who she was.
He looked in thought, as though remembering.
Seth said no one.
She was no one.
She did not turn back.
She did not look at him.
There is this pull towards her ( even though he wished it was between them ), this science that is strange and seductive, heavy with feeling, thick and layered like atmosphere. this energy, so pretty, he finds in the middle.
"Why don't you talk to her?" Ryan said and Seth really just wanted to say, seriously?
Talk to her, just like like?
Like she didn't deserve to be waited for, to be admired. To be spent a whole lifetime though about.
He pretended like there was nothing to talk about with her.
He didn't even like her.
Not. At. All.
She was infuriating really.
A hypocrite.
A two faced liar living a double life.
And he still wanted to know her.
"You coming?" Ryan asked as he got away from the Cohen house.
Seth walked towards him and forgot about her.
Or at least he tried to.
