We sat across each other in the bookstore, sat in two lounge chairs that had been pushed up to a creaky table. "I-" As hard as I tried, I could not bring myself to speak, maybe finally waft away the awkward silence that had settled over us. My face was still burning and I had to resist hiding my face behind my hands. He had just sat there, looking about as if he also was lost for words. I had done enough waiting. "Um, so why-" He interrupted me as if he knew exactly what I meant to ask."-This is all I have." He pulled out a note from his pocket. A chilly jolt coursed through my spine as I observed the small slip of paper. It was Jiwoo's handwriting, that which completely filled the notebook he had left for me. In a hasty scrawl he had written,
Find Heejung
I'm sorry. I thought I would remember...
I crossed my arms on the table and laid my head atop them. Sighing, I realized how hopeless this would be. When I looked at Jiwoo, I felt such affection just from the letters he left, but he had just met me and I couldn't expect him to feel the same. "Okay, right," I blinked away the tears pooling at the edges of my eyelids and righted myself."Yeah, I'm Heejung and I guess I took care of you before you lost your memory." Jiwoo looked upset about something, "I guess? Do you not remember?" Right, he wasn't aware that I had lost my memory as well. "Well, no. I got all that I know from a journal you left me." I pulled the notebook out of my bag and set it on the table. "You can look through it if you want, maybe it will help you remember..." Jiwoo snatched the journal up from the table, as eager as I to see if his memory could be jogged. I watched nervously as he paged through the booklet, at one page, he reddened and quickly turned it over. Curious, I made a note to check that page later. I was about to get up and look for a book in attempt to give him some privacy when I saw his brow furrow as he attempted to pull apart two pages."Did you get something on the pages?" He asked me as he carefully attempted to separate them, wincing at every rip. "No, I kept it safe at all times." I walked over to look over his shoulder to see which pages had become stuck. When they had become undone, I skimmed the writing not marred by whatever had stuck the pages together. Realizing I must have missed the page, I leaned closer to read it, leaning on Jiwoo's shoulder to keep my balance. "What are you doing now?" He asked me hesitatingly. "I haven't seen these pages before..." I answered as I began to read. He muttered,"Stupid,"before himself glancing over at the forgotten page. Luckily, this one wasn't so romantic as I sensed that would make Jiwoo even less likely to warm up to me. It read:

I should mention that I was not the only one assigned to stay with you. That would not stay true with the game I mentioned. ---------- The others would have lost their memories, too. -----------Maybe we can help them---------Look for-------four young men-----red hair-------------'Jisoo'--------very young--------------long hair-----------Might have a way-----------I will try and help if I do not lose my memory----I am sure-----------we will all meet again.
