Riff-off day, usually when we do things with the Bella's i go in knowing pretty much what's going to happen but at this moment i'm going in blind. all i've gotten so far is it's to do with singing.
Thanks to Kay for that very valuable piece of information because i have no clue what our singing group would get up to with other singers.
I talked with Amy the other day as i passed her on the grass and she told me the time and place but i still have no clue other than that.
As it's late i've layered up a bit, so my normal jeans and a blue tank with long sleeves i wear with a thick jacket to layer on top. i place my boots on grab my keys and take a last look in the mirror to check my makeup. When i finally deem myself to be presentable i leave waving Kay goodbye.
I also made sure to turn on my location at all times for her and i let her know that, just in case i don't make it back home the morning.
The place i was walking too is an abandoned pool by the looks of it and it's about 20 minutes away so i place my headphones on top of my head and start to let music flow through to take up the time on my walk.
'come as you are ' starts to play when i get a glimpse in the distance of people drinking so i'm guessing i'm in the right place. However i feel two hands grab my shoulders causing me to shriek out of my skin, taking me through death and back.
I go to throw a punch over my shoulder only for them to duck. Before i can go again through my yells of panic i realise it to be Beca. I remove my still playing music to sit around my neck most likely to tangle in my hair, and i am greeted with loud laughter.
"ha ha you're so funny, really" I mutter in distaste to the girls laughter of her joke.
i begin to walk in the direction i was going trying to hide my amusment as i am less than a minute away and now Beca joins me at my side still laughing slightly.
"that has been the highlight of my week, thank you Abbi"
"you are so very welcome" i say sarcastically shoving her slightly before smiling in her direction so she knows i'm only joking.
"before we go in i just have to tell someone because i need someone to agree before i belive i'm going crazy. But don't you think the songs we are learning are boring and quite....tiresome?"
i am fully aware this could turn right back in my face in a bad way but i need to know that someone agrees.
"i couldn't agree more" oh thank god.
" i've actually been trying to mix up some songs for a set. i can send some over for you if you'd like?"
"yeah that would be great, i just know there is potential in our group but these songs don't cut it."
she agrees so we carry on walking .
"I heard that you make your own music mixes? Luke mentioned you had dropped a mix down. I've been trying for weeks so I honestly think they just go straight in the bin." I laugh as we stroll closer towards the building.
"yeah I was thinking the same thing. I don't think my stuff will go anywhere anyway as I just can't seem to get the pitches and blends right between mixes. I also do my own lyrics so the lower end isn't my strong suit." I shrug keeping up conversation.
"if you ever wanted too we could collaborate on something to give to Luke? Send over some of your work and I can finalise something." I can't help but grin at the girl who casually shrugs at her offer as if it was nothing. Not wanting to come off to strong as I know Beca is rare at showing emotions I look down continuing our walk trying to stifle the grin plastered on my face.
"that would be more than perfect, thank you Beca. Seriously." I squeeze her hand quickly as she glances up at me with her own slight smile.
"Come on lets get this singing orgy over with" at her words laughter slips from my mouth as I follow her now we have arrived.
