Y/n's p.o.v

"And then there were two." Eddie stated after the group left.

"Awe missing Dustin already?" I joked with him.

"Immensely." He joked back. His smile began to falter a little and he seemed to begin to grow more nervous. "Listen, y/n, about last night. I just wanted to apologize for what happened, if it seemed like I was taking advantage of you that was the last thing I wanted to do, I know you were probably just caught up in the moment but I really do like you, I just wanted to get that cleared up now in case I upset you last night or you thought I didn't mean any of it, cause I totally did mean all of it." He rambled. I kissed him gently on the lips to get him to stop talking. His body tensed but then slowly relaxed into the kiss. "Well um, that's definitely a great way of getting me to shut up." He joked smiling.

"Eddie, I think you're a great guy, and I do admit there are some feelings for you in my heart, but I'd like to get to know you a little better before jumping into anything if that's alright with you?" I asked nervously.

"Yes, yes absolutely, I wouldn't want to ever make you feel uncomfortable." He said slightly excitedly.

"How about this, once this all blows over and we get back into our normal lives again, we go on a date? How does that sound?" I asked. He smiled at me, taking my hand gently.

"You don't know how happy that would make me." He squeezed my hand. The smile never leaving his face. "Sorry for looking like a dork right now but it's not everyday your crush since 4th grade says they'll go on a date with you." He laughs. My eyes widened.

"Wait you've liked me since 4th grade?" I asked shocked but slightly amused. I saw his cheeks begin to turn pink and he pulled his hair in front of his face in embarrassment.

"I mean yeah, have you seen you?" He semi joked. "You probably don't remember the little kid with the buzz cut that kept leaving dandelions on your desk after recess." He mentioned, the memories coming back to me.

"That was you?" I asked amazed. "Wow you looked so different back then." I smiled.

"Yeah well, that's what happens when you grow up, I'm sorry if I creeped you out back then." He apologized. I pulled my wallet out of my back pocket and pulled a flattened dandelion in a bag out to show it to him.

"I actually thought it was adorable. It was honestly the sweetest thing anyone ever did for me." I told him. "I always wondered what happened to that kid but I guess you were with me all along." I laughed. He smiled at me.

"I can't believe you kept one of them." He laughed.

"I had to, brings back good memories from when we were young." I reminisced about the old times, when life wasn't so difficult as it is now.

"So about that date in the future, what would you like to do?" He asked me.

"I think I'll leave that up to you." I told him playfully.
