48. Baby...

Robb woke next to odie still asleep in his arms he pressed a kiss to her head before getting up for the day but he felt a wetness on his legs as he moved he pulled the blankets back to see blood. He wiped down his legs he felt no pain the blood wasn't from him. He threw the blankets from the bed pulling at odies night clothes he ran his hands urgently along her legs searching for a wound. She moaned in pain but didn't wake.

'Odie,' he said shaking her lightly. 'Odetta!' He declared shaking her more aggressively but she remained asleep. She breathed labored breaths. She looked pale robb noticed he ripped her dress looking for a wound but found none. 'Odetta! ODETTA!' He shouted in a panic. Blood pooled down her legs. He rolled her over checking her back. 'Where are you hurt?" he demanded 'Odie please...' her eyes fluttered open. 'Odetta!' He rasped. Whats wrong?'

'It hurts,' she moaned.

'What does?' He questioned holding her to him she was cold to the touch.

'Everything.' She told him. But her fingers went to her stomach.

'Stay.' He demanded wrapping a shirt around her before demanding a healer be brought in. Robb cradled her to him.

'What's happening?' She questioned clawing at her stomach. 'Somethings wrong.' She kept murmuring. 'Somethings wrong.'

'Your grace?' A woman peaked into the tent

'You a healer?' Robb questioned she nodded and robb waved her in.

'Somethings wrong.'

'My wife.' Robb said in a panic. 'What's wrong with her!'

'My name is Talisa,' the woman said. 'Can you tell me what happened?' She ran a hand along odies clammy forehead her eyes going to the blood along the bed.

'Somethings wrong...' Odie kept murmuring

'When was the last time you bled?' Talisa questioned

'What?' Robb questioned, 'what does that have to do-'

'When was the last time you bled?' Talisa asked again.

'It's... it's been a few moons.' Odie said distantly understanding what happened

'What's wrong?' Robb asked confused still. Talisa ran her hands along odies stomach.

'I think your wife was pregnant.' Talisa told him.

'Pregnant?' Robb smiled over at odie but tears fell from odies eyes.

'The significant blood loss leads me to believe she lost the baby.' Talisa told them. Robb nodded slowly before hugging odie tight.

'Why?' Odie sobbed. 'What did i do wrong?' She asked as talisa was leaving.

'Nothing.' Talisa told her. 'It was probably the stress of this war. Nothing you could have changed. I'm sure of it.' Talisa told her kindly before leaving.

'A baby..' Odie murmured.

'I'm so sorry my love.' robb said kissing her head holding her to him as odie sobbed.

She cried. She didn't think she would stop crying. Robb held her. Running a gentle hand through her hair and trailing down her spine. Long slow kisses to her head as she clung to him.

Robb didnt want to leave her but they were still in the midst of a war. They needed to discuss terms with the freys after the news of odie and robbs marriage managed to snake its way to walder frey after all this time. Now they needed to mend bridge so they could get the bridge.

'I have some business with the freys.' robb told her three days after the miscarriage, she barely left the tent, Robb remained at her side. But he had to deal with the freys, so they could end this war and there would be peace and Odie wouldn't be so stressed and in time they could try again. Odie nodded her eyes still closed she didnt let go of him.

'I'm sending that nurse in to check on you again alright love? She's going to make sure you are okay.' Robb told her, Odie nodded but didn't let go. 'Stay here, alright love... I don't want you anywhere near the freys... I'll be right back I promise.' Robb pressed a soft kiss to her lips and she opened her eyes. He stroked a and across her cheek before getting up.
