Chapter 6: Mergers.

High above the rooftops of Del Haviz, Niv runs as fast he could to escape Archobos, he was carrying Aki in his back when his phone started to ring, "Hey, good thing you called" Niv picked up, it was Reech on the phone. "can you send out back-up here in Del Haviz, we are under attack and i can't fight right now..." The Slayer was annoyed "I can't." Reech replied "Shen Ron sent most of your men to Mt. Norgul" Niv immediately reacted "WHAT? can't you drop by here right now?" the Slayer then sighed "you have guests here, they want to talk to you. I can't leave them here, besides, Zai is also bugging me...later." before the Demon prince can react, Reech have ended the call.

As Niv continued to flee from Archobos, his mind is cluttered by images of his past. The rain started to fall as he stood still, the Congregation cornered him, blood covered his entire body, As the thunder shake the grounds, his laughter echoed, he was enveloped by insanity and hatred. Patroclos' begged for mercy, he was trying to stop his actions, but his inner Demon consumed him.

The Demon wakes up from the trance, he then realized that he was about to hit a wall; he immediately teleported to the other side. He paused for a moment, realizing that he could've just teleported back to the tavern, he then murmured "Dammit, Niv, stop running away from your past." as he looked up the sky, Niv fades in to the wind.

Meanwhile, back at Netherea, Zai continues to annoy the Sagratojinn "HEY, come on, tell me where's Oni-chan? I've been waiting for his return, since I have learned new techniques..." Zai continues to annoy Reech. "As I've told you, princess, your brother is in a mission." the Golem replied, controlling his temper.

The young Tenshi circled Reech and started to poke him while chanting "Call him, and tell him to go home already." She continues to chant it until Reech finally snapped "I SAID I CAN'T DISTURB HIM! HE IS CURRENTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT" everyone was surprised by how Reech acted; while he just cleared his throat and continued calmly "please go to your room now, princess."

Kazekaeru, the third Tenshi, also known as Zai. She is the adoptive sister of Niv, and made a very close bond with the Demon (Ironically, the Onis and the Tenshis are intended to be sworn enemies) She is much like her brother, daring and curious, she is thrilled to seek adventure; big or small. Zai has a very cheerful and energetic attitude, always seeing the good in everything. Much like Niv, she looks like a Chinese Teenager but in reality, she is already over a hundred years old.

Zai sulked "Well, at least let me show you my new skill" Reech shooked his head and was about to react but Ramiro interfered "Go ahead, child, show us your skills." the Tenshi was delighted, she then unsheathed her katana "Master Asagiri taught me this, he said that all I have to do is concentrate and focus my energy on my weapon." as she demonstrates, Ramiro nodded, while Reech and Orange discreetly talked to each other "Whew, Zai and Niv are really this hyper even before" Orange expressed, Reech reacted "Really? So this means I'd have to suffer even more in the future." Ramiro then encourage Zai "Let's see how strong you've become..." as the girl swayed her sword, the wall in front of them collapsed.

"WHOA,I DID IT!" Zai was filled with excitement, but quickly felt uneased as two images formed, emerging from the clouds of dusts "Sorry to disappoint you, but Guk did that." The Aquorion spoke. "And let me introduce myself; I am Harabeshi Ikezubo, the Valiant Sea Dragon. This big fellow here is Guk'Yul'Saval, the Black Knight Tortoise. We are the Mergers and we are here to take the Tenshi."

Reech acted fast, firing several times but Ikezubo just slashed each bullet."Just who do you think you are?" the Golem got pissed and unsheathed his sword, but Ramiro stopped him and shooked his head "You kids get out of here while I hold them back, they are much stronger than you. Now, go!"

Archobos was surrounded by the Roalhdiz Assassins, no one dared to move when Niv appeared. Although surprised, he knew the Merger will not give up that easy " Ow, here comes our beloved prince." the Trigerstryfe jests " okay, now give me that kid so we can get outta here. Nobody dies, everybody." Mitsu asked Niv, obviously irritated, as the Oni walks towards him "That's what you call 'getting some fresh air'? To grab some kid and lure the Mergers here?" Niv then replied " Actually this kid is one of them."

The Trigerstryfe got tired of waiting, with a gush of a wind, he managed to easily take the assassins down. Mitsu made his move, swiftly bashed the enemy. Archobos managed to dodge the attack, and punched the Knight's broadsword, shattering it to pieces. " You despicable runt" Mitsu muttered and summons a new sword, but Archobos was too quick, managing to deliver a punch that sent the the Dark Knight flying.

Silence echoed across the streets. Niv was the only one standing, as his fallen allies lie on the ground. " They're lucky I didn't killed them, Gates asked me to get that little brat back." said the Trigerstryfe, while making this gesture that commands the Oni to come closer "No. Not unless you give me answers." Niv replied, still carrying the girl in his back.

Archobos started to circle the Demon, cracking my knuckles in preparation for a fight "You know, Nivrae, your stupidity is incredible. That girl is your enemy and yet you're refusing to kill her or surrender her." Niv replied " Maybe. But I won't give her...unlike you, her aura is not as evil as yours." Offended, Archobos then points at Niv "EVIL? YOU CALLING ME EVIL?" he then laughs and continued "WAS I THE ONE WHO KILL INNOCENT LIVES JUST FOR FUN?" he then pounced at Niv.

In split seconds, Niv have reacted; he created a shadow clone to carry Aki, while he fights Archobos. The fiend greeted Archobos with a punch in mid-air. The Trigerstryfe was astounded by the attack, as he was about to gather his strength Niv immediately made a follow up, directly targeting the opponent's guts. Archobos bowed down in pain, but even before he can gather his strength, Niv striked Archobos in the back using his elbow. Now kneeling, a weak Archobos tried to stand up. Niv was about to attack again when Archobos snapped his fingers.

For a moment, everything was pitch black. A stinging pain then crawled Niv's body, it was like hundred of blows were given in a split second. As he opened his eyes, Niv was down on the ground, his vision was blurry. He sees Archobos carrying Aki. "Hmf! Nothing but a useless scum." Archobos jibed.

He gathered all his strength to stand up, Niv tried to stop Archobos but his body was still weak. The Demon prince shouted "STOP! We're not done yet... How did you know we are here? Ans-" but before he can continue, Archobos faced him and answered "It's easy. We know all your movements. HAHA, Don't worry, we'll just scare the living daylights out of her." Niv sensed something's wrong "What do you mean..." and was replied with a grin "Gates is having a 'chitchat' with Mu right now." Archobos secured Aki's position and fade away.
