"Why did you do it!" Julia cried. Eli held up his hands in surrender.
"But I didn't! It is obvious that Peter did it!" Eli retorted. Peter shook his head.
"How do we know that it was a murder to begin with? I think we are all just making unruly predictions!" Peter spoke softly but forcefully.
"Well, Peter, if it was a murder, who do you think it would be?" Abraham asked slowly. Peter's eyes shot nervously toward the door. Eli marched out of the cafe, and noticed for the first time that Beverly was gone.
"Of course... it was the one who can worm her way out of any problem," Eli exclaimed, dumbfounded. Everyone else came out to see too.
"So it is Beverly! Of course! We have to tell the police now!" Cheryl cried.
"We don't know for sure. We just know that she has something up her sleeve. The question is why did she call us all here just to leave?" Peter explained. They mulled it over in their minds a bit.
"I know why. It is because we are petty and she knew that if we talked bout our past disagreements then we would fight. Thus, she could figure out which one of us is most likely blamable. That makes the most sense," Julia explained. They all nodded.
"How are we gonna stop her?" Cheryl asked nervously.
"I've got it! We can guilt trip her into not wanting to frame any of us," Julia exclaimed proudly. "She has always been a softy!"
"But the old Beverly wouldn't murder her friend..." Cheryl countered.
"I hate to say it, but it might be our best shot," Eli nodded. They agreed and headed back inside the coffee shop to think of a way to guilt trip her. Abraham grabbed Cheryl's hand and pulled her around the corner of the building.
"What?" she asked. Abraham went to kiss her on the cheek, but she put her hand on his lips. "I already said no. This could escalate too quickly." She marched into the cafe. Abraham followed close behind, and promised to get her to kiss him right.
