1: Arriving in Berk

After being dragged outside by Lilian, Athanasia decided to take a walk. She just walked and walked until she arrived at the rose garden, a place that use to be so beautiful to her 'These flowers...I don't feel anything anymore.' Athanasia grabbed a flower and plucked it, dropping in on the ground, she continued. She plucked the roses and dropped them on the ground as she walked, not really thinking of anything.

She walked with her head down, not paying attention until she heard a voice "As I thought, I shouldn't have let you live." Athanasia looked up and saw her father. A blank but cold look on his face. They stared at each other, Athanasia in shock and Claude in a cold anger. "If I had removed you from my sight when I first saw you, there would be no reason for that face to weigh on my mind like this till now." Athanasia couldn't say anything, she just stared at her father until a loud Cracking noise filled the air. Claude had tried to hurt Athanasia with his magic but because of the protection magic he placed on her; he wasn't able to. "How funny. That protection magic undoubtedly holds my mana." Athanasia stared at her father in shock and fear as Claude didn't stop his attack.

"Mana does not lie. I must have been the one to layer protection magic on that body." Claudes voice getting colder, hating the fact that he tried to protect the girl at some point in his life. He couldn't remember why he would want to protect her; she was the one who took his love from him, she took Diana from him. "Yet I will also be the one to destroy it. What an absurd farce." Claude put all his anger into another attack, cracking the protective shield around Athanasia. "That face." Cracking the shield more. "That expression." A part of the shield broke away and hit Claude in the face, cutting his cheek. "They're offensive." Athanasia just started at her father in shock.

'Why is he doing this? What did I do? I understand he lost his memories and doesn't really remember me but isn't this too much? What did I do?' Athanasia couldn't do anything; she loved her dad too much to even try and get away from him. 'I don't know what I did but if I just let him kill me, maybe, just maybe, he'll be happy again? Would he smile? Would he laugh? Does it matter? If I'm gone, daddy would be happy.'

"In that case. if I get rid of it, this will end." Claude raised his hand, blood dripping from his cheeks and fingertips, he tried once again to attack but once again, the protection magic around Athanasia stopped him. "The suffocating feeling whenever your face comes to mind will soon disappear when you're gone." Claude stepped closer reaching towards the protection shield.

'I'm being punished right now.' Athanasia stood as the shield cracked and started to break. 'Daddy got hurt trying to protect me. Because I couldn't control my magic.' Athanasia continued to look at her father, only seeing his blank yet angered eyes.

"So, die right now." Claude said, never once changing his blank expression.

Athanasia thought back to her past life, reading that novel, Lovely Princess. 'Even though he's treating me like this, I'm still calling him Daddy.' Tears gathered in her eyes as she thought back to sitting in her father's lap, playing with her stuffed rabbit. She loved her father, even if he doesn't remember her, she couldn't forget all the good memories of them together, of how much she truly loved him. She clenched the rose that was still in her hand. 'I don't want to die like this...' Claude was able to break the shield, reaching towards Athanasia. 'Not at the hands of Daddy.'

The shield was completely gone by now, but Claude had to stop his attack because of what he saw. Athanasia was slowly fading away, rose petals surrounding her, she looked her father straight in his eyes and smiled, tears continuing to gather in her eyes "Goodbye, Daddy." Athanasia finally faded away, disappearing from Claudes view, only leaving the fallen flowers and petals behind.
