Y/N face reddened in embarrassment as they laid on the couch of their house. Things weren't supposed to go the way they did. Sure, you were new to this job, but thing have never been so much of a failure. "Hello? Earth to Y/N?" A voice called out, snapping Y/N out of their thoughts. "Huh? Yes, Thatcher?" They said tiredly.
Thatcher crossed his arm "I was asking why the hell you're injured everywhere." Y/N sighed "I- uhh just a case gone wrong. Nothing new to you I guess." They responded turning their head away so they don't like a fool. "Oh? Well that's nothing to really make a big deal out of. Everyone has an off day, even me as suprising as that sounds." Thatcher said faintly grinning. "But if I screw up when I'm new I'll never earn the respect of everyone else!" Y/N said frantically.
Thatcher sat there, thinking of what to say "Well if it makes you feel better, everyone feels that way. I know I do." Thatcher admitted while bandaging a wound on Y/N's leg. "Why would you think like that? You literally just got promoted! Lieutenant Thatcher Davis...has a nice ring to it." Y/N smiled. Thatcher rolled his eyes "I guess..." After a few minutes, Thatcher was done helping with the wounds "How are you feeling now?" Thatcher asked. "I feel fine, thank you so much Thatch." Y/N thanked while sitting upright on the fluffy couch. Thatcher smiled a bit "Yeah yeah but now you owe me!" He said pointing at Y/N.
"Mhm. I know." Y/N laughed. A few seconds of silence swepted the room until Thatcher broke the silence. "But seriously, you don't have to worry about anything. Just don't make it a habit, and if anyone gives you an overly bad time about it I'll step in." What Thatcher said made Y/N smile and feel better about the while situation. "Alright, thanks for that."
Y/N said standing up from the couch. "No problem, kiddo." Thatcher said standing as well and petted Y/N's head.
