Merrill became one more ally to the fight against Daryl, but still had the other sister for which would happen an intense combat against her, once that one is more faithful to everything that Daryl Cavendish says and imposes, besides also being a much more complicated task to face in a combat with the weapons that the girls have at that moment, since the other side had Diana and Hellene with weapons blessed by Bernadette possessing powers that could be useful for a battle but the five girls on the other side are long range and don't have such blessing in relation to weapons, what could be a complicated choice of separation of ways, even more against the gorgon that won't have any mercy on the slayers.

After the defeat of the demon artist they gave a light rest and with the end of this rest they went to the door where when they passed by there, they notice that already has a huge difference, since it was all dark, everything more rustic, besides humid, the lamps were soon lit by the way that was getting with an environment even more of dungeon, as the girls were walking ahead, without any creature until then.
When they arrived at the end of the corridor they found a lift, the five of them entered there and pulled the lever, the device started to go down with a bang, but of course with a not so pleasant surprise, at the same time some snakes fell on the way and with that the five of them jumped back avoiding the creatures, besides the appearance of some skeletons that came to disturb that way.

Amanda: Of course the lift would have something to keep us going so easily.

At that moment the girls were shooting against the skeletons that were even trying, but they had already predicted the movements of the creatures to the point of knowing where they were going to jump and with that they could hit them with an accurate shot, which was causing the monsters to be killed, the snakes were just crawling from one side to the other, with the help of Lotte who was pushing them out of the lift and with that they were falling even lower.

Lotte: May these things not appear to hinder us.

They kept facing the skeletons that way, without the snakes getting in the way, since they didn't even want to know what a bite could cause, the skeletons were soon giving way to other creatures, in this case knights with spears that were practically falling towards them with the spears pointing downwards trying to stick them somehow, but they kept jumping to dodge those stabs and attacks of the monsters.
The fall was already high enough for those creatures to get hurt a little and added to the shots, some of them died just before reaching the ground with only the spear
left.

Amanda: A rain of spears, they really want us not to get out of that lift alive.

Sucy: That's because we're so close, this must be the tower where Daryl's fortress is, so she'll be the one who has to face us.

The creature attacks soon stopped happening in the lift as it got too high and with that began another way of trying to stop it which was the rain of arrows, for which Lotte used a barrier spell to not hit anyone and it stayed that incessant way for quite a while with multiple arrows coming from above that they were being protected from being hit by the projectiles.

Lotte: If it weren't for a shield or a magic barrier, we would be dead right here.

The arrows continued more and more and Lotte still kept all that protection, which for her wasn't much, this went on and on until the lift finally reached the lower part where it gave a sound that it had fit and with that the other four were already walking out and Yanson was walking carefully backwards, trying to keep the spell, until she got out of there and let go where the arrows continued for a while, practically without stopping, going in a completely uncontrolled way.
