The smoke cleared and everyone could see the damage done. Yao was a sobbing mess on the floor. Her clothes were burnt. Her back exposed. The long curved scar visible. Kiku was stood at a distance, watching. The memories flooding back to him. World War Two. Their relationship was broken that night. Kiku wanted to say something. Any form of comfort. Yet he knew that he wasn't exactly trusted. It pained him to see her like this. He decided that it wasn't the right time to start strengthening the bridges. Perhaps when the war was over. Kiku went.

Yao slowly got up. Her people needed her. They couldn't see her like this. Her entire body ached. She just wanted to curl up in a freezer. She saw Kiku run off and she slowly followed him. He was sat in what was a bamboo field. The sadness in his eyes.
"Do you remember aru? This is where I found you." Yao smiled at the memory.
"You said 'Konichiwa China from where the sun sets. I am-"
"Japan from where the sun rises." Kiku finished her sentence. Yao pointed at the charred porch.
"That's where we looked at the moon together. Do you remember?" Kiku looked over there. Of course he did.
"It's where I broke your trust too." He looked down. Kiku knew he'd carry the guilt for the rest of his life.
"It's all in past. You don't need guilt aru."
Yao sat down next to him. She winced as she put a hand on his shoulder. It sent the message of things getting better. Even though they were just about to get worse.

Meanwhile in London, Arthur was sat at a table outside a tea house. Sat opposite was a girl. She had long blonde hair and emerald eyes. She was rather pale. She was fifteen years old. Next to her was a woman. She had the same skin, grey hair pulled back inti a bunand hazel eyes. She was gaunt. A pot of tea was in the middle of the table. Arthur was trying to comprehend the situation.
"So... This is my daughter and you need me to look after her?" The woman nodded. Her voice was hoarse when she spoke.
"I'm dying Arthur. I'm going to a home. I want to go there reassured that she's cared for by her parents. Please?" Arthur sighed. Being the gentleman he was, he couldn't decline.
"What's her name? How old is she?" The girl spoke up. Her accent unmistakably British.
"I am Diana. I am fourteen. Mother tells me that you two met in the seventies." Arthur smiled. Of course. The seventies were his irresponsible era. The punks. They met in America. New York. CBGB's. The place to be at the time. CBGB OMFUG Country, Bluegrass, Blues and Other Music For Ugly Guys. Arthur had gotten so drunk. He didn't remember what happened. He had his suspicions. They were confirmed today.
"Of course I'll take her in and raise her. If you want, I'll even pay for your health care. Please. It's the least I can do. I'm sorry most of your life was taken away like that Estelle." The woman smiled, revealing her lack of teeth.
"I didn't mind it. She was a pleasure. I just feel that you can help her more now." Estelle must've had a really long pregnancy. Arthur knew that countries children could sometimes take hours to develop. Some took years. Often they didn't survive. Estelle handed her a set of keys.
"Diana will show you the way. She just needs to collect her suitcase. I'm so sorry to dump her on you like this. It was either that or putting her into care. I couldn't do that though..." Arthur smiled. He needed this. He was getting lonely at home so he'd kind of been staying at Alfred's. He had to leave after a ghost freaked him out.
"It's no trouble. I need some company anyway." A woman in white came up to Estelle.
"It's time to go honey..." Estelle got up and went with the lady. Leaving Diana and Arthur.

When they got into the flat it was empty. Diana left the key on the table and picked up two holdalls. They both exited.

On the way to Arthur's, they talked a lot. Diana spoke of the strange happenings. Arthur explained it. It was her magic starting to kick in. She explained her daydreams. She saw the future. When she slept she saw the past. They stopped off at a chip shop and got fish and chips for tea. They got home and Arthur showed Diana to her room. He sat in her room and they talked and had fun.

It was around about nine o'clock when there was a banging on the door.
"I'll get it..." Diana went and answered the door. It was Alfred.
"England! Dude! It's an emergency! China was on fire!" Diana looked at him. Arthur was at the door.
"What?!" Then he muttered something about bloody wars getting out of control. "Calm down... I can go over... However, I'll have company." Then he turned to Diana
"I hope you don't mind going to China..."

By the time Arthur, Alfred and Diana arrived, the cleanup process had already begun. Kiku and Ivan were sweeping the streets. Diana waved her hand and all the ash were gone. Alfred looked at her then turned to Arthur.
"Definitely your kid!" Alfred was grinning. Yao greeted Arthur with a smile. She went up to Diana.
"Thank you aru... You can call me China. What is your name?" She smiled. Yao was grateful for the help.
"Hello China. My name is Diana. I'm always happy to help." Arthur smiled proudly at his daughter. Yao looked from Diana to Arthur.
"She's got good heart. I hope mine are like that." Diana smiled at her
"They'll be perfect..." Yao stared at her with wide eyes.
"But keep that between us..." Diana smiled.
"If you want, I can sort out this mess. I know how to..."
"Don't be so bloody absurd!" Arthur was shocked. He was also a little scared. He knew that sibling love was powerful.
"Trust me. Please. I'll fix it."

Reluctantly, Arthur let her go. He wasn't sure whether she could do it. He prayed for Diana's safety, that she could do it. She was strong, but Lukas was stronger...
