Chapter 18

The midday bell rang.

"That's all for today. Don't forget we'll have a quiz tomorrow. So study hard!", professor said while preparing his things. We thanked him for his hard work. I sat back down and cleaned up the things on my desk.

"Where are we going to eat lunch?", BJ asked.

"Anywhere is fine,I guess.", I replied.

I stood up and we went out of our classroom then someone suddenly ran towards me.

"Lenny!", Charmaine called.

"Oh Hi.", I greeted.

"Please let me eat lunch with you.", she put on her puppy eyes.

"Why?", I asked.

"I had a fight with my friends.", she pretended to be crying.

"Oh. Why don't you sort it out with them?", I asked.

"No way! I'm not a girl with no pride!", she said.

"Geez. Why are you so clingy to Lenny?", BJ complained.

"What?! Aren't you the one who's clingy?", she glared at BJ.

"Of course. We're..."

"We're what?!", Charmaine asked.

"We're b-bestfriends!"

"We're bestfriends too. Aren't we Lenny?", she asked me sweetly.

"Ahh..he.he.he. I guess so?", I said.

"See?!", she stuck her tongue out. BJ ignored her.

"Anyways, let's just go.", I said.

We outside the building and ate at the stone tables and chairs beside the building.

"Tell me if you see my friends okay?", Charmaine whispered. How can I do that if I don't even know who are her friends?

"You're overreacting.", BJ said. "Are they gonna eat you or something?", he added.

"No. But they'll bully me.", Charmaine began eating. So we too, began eating.

After eating, we kept our lunch boxes and rested. Charmaine stood up.

"Oh are you going?", I asked.

"Nope. I'll just stand. Fats might stay, you know.", she grinned while raising her eyebrows.

"Oh. Is that so?", I said.

"You didn't know?"

"No.", I answered innocently.

"Why, are you a girl?! Are you a lady?! You must know that!", Charmaine said.

"Oh. I see.", I said and patted my tummy.

"You girls are very conscious.", BJ said.

"Of course. We're girls.", Charmaine raised an eyebrow. They both began glaring at each other again. Geez.

"Anyways, are we gonna go back?", I asked.

"Not yet.", Charmaine smiled.

"Okay. I'll just wash my hands. You two better behave.", I said.

"Yes ma'am.", they both replied simultaneously. They glared at each other again. I sighed. They're like kids.

I went to the sink near our table. I washed my hands and I noticed Gab, sitting under a tree while listening to music and a book on his hand. Why this guy finds peace sometimes huh?

I went closer to him, he's sleeping. I went to his side and sat. I stared at him. Hmmm.. is he really asleep? I waved my hand infront of his face. No reaction. Seems like he's asleep.

I stared at him again. I poked his cheek. He turned his face. Hmm.. he's helpless. Ha-ha-ha Should I prank him? Hmm.. what prank should I do?

I took all of the dry leaves around him and tried putting them gently on his head. Should I put some dirt too? I snickered.

I took some small dirt from the ground, I was about to put it on his head when suddenly, Gab grabbed a hold of my hand.

"What are you doing?", he asked and took off his headphone.

I took my hand. "Nothing.", I stood up and turned around. I was going to walk when he said, "Nice prank.", he said. I turned my head towards him. He took all of the dry leaves on his head.

"Well, thanks for the compliment.", I answered.

"I didn't know you do things like these.", he stood up.

"How rude. I'm not a kill-joy.", I said.

He scoffed and said, "Okay. Okay." He looked at me and smiled gently.

What's wrong with this guy?

"Yes?", he asked.

"Huh? I didn't say anything.", I said. "Anyways, I'm going.", I started walking away.

"Oh by the way, you're uniform, I can see through it.", he said.

"Haaa??!!", I reacted and looked at my uniform.

"Just kidding.", he smirked. "Bye bye."

"Why you.....perverted jerk tricky guy!!!!", I yelled. Tsk. I want to strangle him
