My freshman year of attending Ivory Grey's Private School ended up being my only good year. It wasn't amazing and everything I was hoping for, I expected way better considering how hard it is to get scholarships for the school. The scholarship was for academics, which meant a lot of all-nighter trying to get the best possible grades I could manage. My roommate didn't mind my all-nighters, the only music I played was lofi, thank god she also liked lofi. I didn't get close to my roommate, we had complete opposite lives at this school, and we both didn't care of intertwining them.
I couldn't say I have a best-friend, or friends. I live my life, Study as well as I can, and sleep the most my terrible sleep schedule allows me too.
This all changed my sophomore year, when I met Cece.Cece was the cool older girl, the type of girl you'd see on shows like Fast and Furious. The type of girl you'd expect to be racing cars at night, partying in the early morning, and crashing during the day. I never thought I could ever be a girl that would hang out with Cece, no less her be her best friend.
I have no idea why she chose me, or what she saw in me. All I know is that she is my best friend, and I am her best friend.
Present time
"We're going to Reese's place tonight." Cece says out loud as she walks into Abby's dorm. Cece slings through the door while looking at her phone, she flops down on the bed, next to abby who was sitting against the wall, with her legs off the bed.
Abby looks up from her phone, "What time?" She asks as Cece curls up next to Abby's sitting form.
"We'll leave at 9 in Hallie's car." Cece says, putting her phone down and looking up at Abby's face. Abby stares back down at her, then lays down next to Cece. They both lay on their sides, staring at each-other, inches apart.
"Is it another party?" Abby ask.
Cece smiles brightly at her, "You know me so well." She pulls Abby up with her, and puts her back down on the correct direction of the bed, both their heads on the same pillow. "I'm taking a nap before we leave."
Abby hums in agreement, closing her eyes. "Can you turn the fan on?" She says with her eyes still closed, and relaxed against the pillow. Cece turns around and turns the small bedside fan on, then turns back around to face Abby.
The fan provided enough noise to block out the voices from out in the school. Cece was happy that whoever Abby's roommate was, wasn't in the dorm. She lays her head down next to Abby's and closes her eyes, listening to the fan lure her into sleep.
The alarm blared in the room, Cece jumps up, still foggy from sleep, and starts padding around the bed trumping to find her phone, to turn the alarm off. Abby had only moved her arm to her face, making a frustrated face.
Cece finds her phone, and immediately turns the alarm off. Stumbling out of bed and into the bathroom. Abby slowly opens her eyes, she watches Cece wash her face with the bathroom.
Even while washing her face she's gorgeous.
Abby had no idea why Cece decided to become friends with her, but she loved every second of it.
Abby didn't know much of Cece's friend group. Even though she was Cece's bestfriend, she never really hung out with her group. They were all rich and popular, seemingly perfect.
That's why she didn't really like going to these party's, the ones that Cece's friends put on. They always looked at Abby, as if she wasn't meant to be there. Was she supposed to prove herself to them?
Abby didn't know how to that. What was she proving? Did they was a party animal? A pushover who let them do whatever they want? Someone sarcastic?
So Abby would just try to avoid them. If they made her uncomfortable, why not just not interact with them? The only reason she even did anything at this point was Cece.
"Hurry up, lazybutt!" Cece laughs out from inside the bathroom. Cece put some of her skincare and makeup in her bathroom a while ago. She often came in her, because Abby didn't like going to the other years dorms.
"I am!" Abby calls back. She jumps out of bed, she didn't care for how she dressed. She had a simple crop tank with sweats on. She grabbed her oversized hoodie and zipped it up, going into the bathroom with Cece.
Cece didn't have anything crazy on either. It looked more stylish though, with blue vintage adidas pants, and a tight white tank that clung to her in the right places.
"Let me atleast a little bit of makeup on you." Cece smiled at Abby. Abby groggily nodded and sat on the counter. She couldn't tell what Cece was doing to her, but she did know she put some rhinestones on her. When Abby looked in the mirror, she was once again shocked by Cece's makeup skills.
The look reminded her a lot of the show euphoria, she had a small cat wing, with 3 rhinestones coming down from both eyes, looking like tears.
Cece's was different, she had cat liner with glitter on her lower lash line. She also had little rhinestones making a star on wash side of the eye, overlapping with the liner.
As they rushed out of the dorm and sprinted down the stairs with their hands intertwined , Abby couldn't help but wonder if life for Cece was always like this.
They neared Harpers car, when Cece asked Abby, "you ready?"
Abby look up at Cece, feeling their hands connected, and shyly nodded with a small smile.
