The night was a blur of drinking, sweaty bodies, and never hearing anything but the bass and obnoxious yelling. After the first couple shots, I lost all control. I remember dancing with some random people, on some random people, and rushing out one of the many exits to throw up.I also remember the pain of waking up. Killer headache, and drowning pain killers like I was addicted. I don't know how I got back to my dorm, I assume Cece had something to do with it.
When I finally got my eyes to see clear, I didn't immediately get up or stretch, instead I looked up and thought.
I can't believe I got drunk in front of Cece's freinds.
I was always nervous around them, something about them made me feel inferior. Maybe the fact that they were all rich, respected members of society made me feel that way. And apparently I'm not the only one who feels that way. I see how everyone is nervous to get to close, so stare to long, or even try to talk to them.
I was to caught up in not being a boring friend to Cece, I never even thought of the repercussions of blacking out at a party.
I blindly grap my phone, bringing it up to my face.
'10:47 am'
It was Sunday, so I don't have anywhere to be. Might as well go get some food, since the cafeteria is closed.
I still have my outfit on from last night, the tank clinging to my sweating body. I quickly take everything off, wanting to cool off. I find a pair of short athletic shorts, and an oversized black graphic shirt. Not like I have anyone to impress at brunch alone.
I slowly start walking down the stairs of the school, getting used to it. I'm never getting drunk again.
"Abby!" I hear a voice in front of me, I quickly look up to see Cece walking quickly towards me, "I was just heading for your room!"
She rushes up to hug me, I lean in it and hug back. She pulls her head back, but we stay in each-others arms.
"Harper wasn't to mean last night, I hope?"
"What do you mean?" I tilt my head to the side.
"Harper was the one who took you to your dorm last night, do you not remember?"
I open my mouth to reply, no I don't, I thought you took me back, but before I can reply she's already talking.
"Of course you don't!" She suddenly slapped her head, "you were so out of it, I'm so stupid!"
"Your not stupid," I buried my head into her shoulder, as she hugged me tighter, "your just not, well, the brightest."
She pushed me away jokingly, and I walked back to her side. "I'm on my way to eat some food, wanna come?"
"Oh! Me and my other friends are going to eat to! I was coming to invite you!"
Not to be mean, but I had enough of her friends.
"Why not?" I try to make a shrug, but I was trying harder to hold my grimace. But if I wanted to stay with Cece, I had to do what Cece wanted.
"Great! We can go together!" She grabs my hand, and starts leading me towards wherever we're going.
She always seems to be the leader.
