I was right when I said her friends where rich. Reese's place was huge. The music was blaring through the entire estate, the bass drumming through my head. The lights were everywhere, all different colors, enough to light the entire night up.I wonder how much the bill is.
When I had walked into the car, Harper looked at Cece first though the mirror, then slide his eyes over to me. His expression didn't change, stone cold.
Cece put her elbows on console between the passenger and the driver seat. She put her jaw in her hands and smiled up at Harper.
"Gut the gas Harper, we got place to be." She jokingly say to him. Harper had a small smile on his face when he looked down at Cece.
"You do know you owe me gas money," he says too her, "you too, babyface." He says, looking back up to me. This is the first time I've ever actually made eye contact with him, usually I avoid it at all cost.
I quickly nod and look back at Cece, finding comfort in her familiarity. Thinking about it this is the first time he's even actually acknowledged me. I hear Cece and talking, and Harpers mostly listening, choosing to answer in short answers.
The ride was quick, Harper's house was around 15 minutes away. Cece pulls me out by my hand, she continues to hold it as she navigates us through the over crowded house. I didn't like that Harper was following us, I wish he was at least in front, I didn't like him following me so closely behind.
Cece pulls us into a big space that you had to walk 3 steps down to get into to. It didn't have any walls, just 3 steps, and a few gigantic pillars at the rounded out edges, but it was enough to make normal people away. There was two couches and a few accent chairs, I sit next to Cece on the couch.
Cece is sitting next to the edge of the couch, with Im right next to her. I notice Harper walk in and sit on the other couch directly opposite, but still very close.
Looking around I realize all the people that are around the edges. They aren't just standing and watching, but theres definitely an aura there where you can tell they want to come down here, even though they are dancing and seemingly having an amazing time.
Cece and Harper were talking about some of her other friends, I just laid my head on her shoulder. I close my eyes and just take in the smell and sound of my surroundings.
It smelt like weed and almost like an emptiness. As if I was in a newly built metal barn with nothing inside it. Is was probably because the house was so huge, that smells couldn't get to far, so it smelt empty.
I wonder how new this house is
I could hear music blasting though my head, and I could hear Cece's obnoxiously loud voice. She was talking about Reese, something about not coming to greet them. I open my eyes and look around at more of the dancing people. Some where staring at me, probably wondering why someone else was sitting down at the spot where seemingly only the elite can sit.
"There's Reese!" I here Cece tell out, probably as a greeting to Reese, not an actual guess who's there. I feel Cece shift her hand on my head gently, I let my head up at she stands up to greet him.
I watch as she gets up and lean my head against the coach. I look over to Harper to see that he's already looking at me.
"Do you want one?" He ask. I look at what he's referring to and I see shots. I didn't know what they were, but I also didn't want to know.
I shake my head no, and he smiles as takes a shot. When he lifts the shot back down, he doesn't seem phased at all.
I thought they tasted bad?
I look back over to Cece to see that two more people joined us. Her brother Cole, and a girl named Hallie. Cece and Cole definitely won the genes lottery.
Reese comes over and sits next to me, as the same time Cece does too. Cole sits on one of the big accent chairs, while hallie sits on the couch with Harper. I try not to get myself Noticed by them, and stay leaned back into the coach.
"Can I tattoo your face?" I hear Reece say to me.
"What?" I answer. Everyone else is in another conversation, so Cece can't help me.
"Can I tattoo your face?" He asks with a laughing smile. He pulls out a sheet of tattoos.
Thank god for fake tattoos
One thing I'd learn about this group of people, is they do what ever they want. He already had the sheet up to my face and his hand on the back of my head, keeping me still.
Then I look at what the tattoos are. Fucking Spider-Man. Never would of thought that Reese Worthford would be putting Spider-Man tattoos on my face.
He grabs a bottle of vodka and drowns a paper towel in it. He then takes the vodka infused towel up to the sheet on my cheek.
"Babyface is getting her first tattoo." I hear Harper say. I try to look over at him, but Reese keeps my head in place by grabbing my jaw.
"Iws fake." I mutter out, you can barely understand me from Reese's hand clenching my jaw. I swat at his hand, "yow can swop." Reese just grins and keeps his hand on my jaw.
He finally pulls the sheet off, and try I to lean back. "Ah-ah-ahhh!" He grins, "I have more!"
He pulls out a binder he was keeping hidden behind the coach.Shit
About an hour later, I'm officially tatted up and ready to go home. I have an arm sleeve that was full of Spider-Man and superheroy stuff.
I'm quite in my suffering, trying not to get noticed again, but Reese seems to like me, so that's good.
"Take a shot, babyface." This is Cole's first time talking to me.
Out of all nicknames, that's the one that they choose?
"Um-" I was about to decline.
"Yeah! We can take it together!" Cece calls out excitedly. Oh well, I can't say no to Cece. Harper grins and hands me a shot. Bitch
I pick it up, as I hear Hallie start to count down. At three, I quickly drown it in one gulp. It burns my tongue all the way down to my throat. I try to not let it show, but I'm a first timer, cut the slack.
"WOO!" I hear Cece yell, "gimme another!"
What the hell "Make that two!" I yell out
"Fuck yeah!" Cece yells, I smile as I realize I'm making her proud. Huh, this is all it takes.
