As I got off the bus there was not a single pair if eyes that were not directed at me. More so my face. I tried to smile, but it appeared as more of a grimace. I was sure I even heard a girl scream! However, I concentrated on nothing else but getting through the school doors.

I tried to find my home room, but there were too many hallways and stairs. I sat in a corner and started to cry. I was still crying when I heard a voice. "April, April is that you?" I wasn't sure who it could be. As I looked up I stared at an adults chubby, red face. "Hi, my name is Mrs. Baker. How are you?" I was so happy that I squealed again. Mrs. Baker laughed. She had such a pretty laugh! I knew that as long as I stuck with Mrs. Baker that I would be alright. Mrs. Baker sure was one kind person.
