ONE LAST TIME - stuck up in a conditional marriage

The next day, everything was quiet...too quiet to hear a pin drop. You could hear your breathing. You almost flinched when you heard the doorbell.

Jimin already left the house to finish some work before he joined you to meet your parents.

You opened the door to see your lawyer, Kim Taehyung. A charmer, a handsome hunk and mostly, the one who's so good at his job.

He not only handled your company cases, but also his own. He owns a firm but down to earth and so friendly. He missed your wedding cause he had the final hearing for a case he was dealing with at that time.

The most busy person you've ever known. And him coming today to pick you made you wonder whether he hit his head over something.

You both followed to his car. Not that you couldn't drive but Jimin called Taehyung and asked him to pick you up. He warned you to not drive when you're emotionally unstable.

Taehyung drove away from the apartment and the ride was normal.

"Are you sure about this?" Taehyung asked you.

"I am"

"I talked to Yoongi's lawyer. He's some rude ass jerk" Taehyung stated.

"Just like his client?" You remarked.

"No...I talked with Yoongi too. He was quiet and polite" Taehyung replied.

"What are you? A spy?" You joked.

"I want you to reconsider this decision Y/n. I know we're just friends professionally. But...

"Tae....I can't change my mind" you sighed.

"And why is that?" Taehyung was confused

"You'll know it soon," you replied.

Taehyung sighed, not wanting to force you to it. It's not like he could meddle in your marital affair and deal with it.

"By the way...you called me Tae. Nice progress for five years of friendship" Taehyung comments

"Haha...it's your fault cause you never meet me unless it is about work" you rolled your eyes.

By the time you reached your parents house, you noticed two cars parked outside. You both got down and walked into the house.

You saw Yoongi's parents and Jin talking. Jimin was already there. Why not when he left for the office at 6 am to finish his work?

Yoongi's parents saw you and you bowed to them out of respect. Even though you dislike them, you have to maintain manners.

You sat beside Jin and didn't start any conversation. After a minute or two, you noticed your husband's arrival and went stiff.

He was pale, clearly tired and eyes with dark circles. He wasn't healthy. He was trying his best to go through this meeting and get it done quickly.

You noticed your parents coming out through the kitchen and your mother bringing drinks for everyone. Yoongi's parents thanked them and everyone took their seats.

Behind Yoongi's couch was his lawyer while behind you was Taehyung. Taehyung brought the papers and placed them on the table in front of you all.

"As me and Mr.Lim discussed, we suggest you guys rethink the decision of getting divorced" Taehyung stated.

"Yes, as we all know that it's been only six months, we want you both to try and solve things. We see many cases where the couple divorce early and regret it after" Mr.Lim added.
