Hayes POV
Me and Haley had been hanging out a lot. I think I'm gonna ask her out soon. Jess and this guy Jeremy have been talking a lot. I don't know how I feel about it. It's kinda weird. But I don't like her because she's my best friend. I should support her relationships but I don't know it's hard to describe. I heard a knock on my door and someone say "Hayes open up!" I hopped off my bed and opened the door. Jess was standing in front of me smiling really wide. "okay so guess what happened" she said.
"you won the lottery?"
"no stupid.... better!"
"I don't think there is anything better than winning the lottery"
"ugh fine I'll just tell you. ME AND JEREMY ARE DATING NOW"
"oohhhh that makes more sense"
"wow that's the reaction I get? I finally get a boyfriend, and that's what I get?" she said in an annoyed tone.
"congrats??" I said.
Jess POV
Hayes is acting really weird. He's usually happy for me about this kind of stuff. Maybe because he's been hanging out with that girl Haley a lot. I don't think they should date. I used to be bullied by Haley in like 6th grade but I think she's changed. I don't know, maybe I'm being to harsh. I'll give her a chance.
I'm so happy Jeremy asked me to be his girlfriend though. I really like him. Except for the fact that, we live like an 4 hours away from each other which sucks. He is so sweet and I know I can trust that just because we don't live close together he won't do anything behind my back. But why is Hayes acting like this?
